About this Cook
I did not know how to cook until I got married. I just went out and bought a cook book and from my first meal of French Onion Soup, Broiled Lobster and Ceasar Salad I discovered I loved to cook. It is only my husband and I now that our 3 kids are grown and married so I do have a tough time cooking for two. We luckily both like leftovers some of which are better the next day. I love to cook almost everything from scratch. I have quit cutting up and deboning my own chicken though! I have dozens of cookbooks and love all the sites on the web. Looking forward to chatting and sharing recipes on this site.
My favorite things to cook
I like all things Italian so that would be: Lasagna chicken Tetrazzini Sphagetti and Meatballs Canneloni Manicotti and anything inbetween. I love stir frys and have one cupboard dedicated to Asian food. A good way to use up my older vegetables. I love to make my own soups and stews mostly during the cooler weather. And I love good old tried and true comfort foods like roasts, baked chicken, meatloaf and chicken and dumplings to name a few. There is not much that I don't like and I will try a recipe and usually adapt it to my own tastes.
