Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 11, 2003
i used only 3 bananas-and was out of butter (gasp) so i used the old standby Crisco butter flavor shortening with good results. For those that do not like an overwhelming banana flavor, 3 bananas worked great.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2003
This was so delicious. My moroccan husband and two children cleaned their plates. This is so delicious. My husband would have liked a lot more "spice" so if you like spice be sure and kick up the red pepper a few notches but it was great as was for the kids. I was really impressed with this. Did I mention this was so delicious?

This is fabulous...my daughter and I ate it for days. Instead of simply putting in rasins...I put in Sunmaid's "Golden's and Cherries" sooooooo good. update 2008...7 years later, we're still lovin' it!

Chocolate Candy Bar Cake

This cake is worthy of using icing tips to dress up the frosting as it so moist and delicious. It reminded me of a suzy Q only way better.

Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2004
This was my first time making a wild rice soup. I used only 1 c. wild rice (was all i had) i followed the instructions given on the package for the rice, which was 4 c. water per 1/2 cup of w.r. I also only used 1 c. half and half (fat free) and only 2/3 c. of flour, all with positive results. I didn't have any celery on hand so i subbed 1/4 tsp of the salt for celery salt and increased the carrots. Savored by all. Thank you Sue!

Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2004
I halved this recipe with great results. I didn't cover the dish, but i did ensure that the top layer of noodles were completely smothered in sauce so the noodles wouldn't dry out. Because we do not eat pork products and i substituted the sausage with cracker barrel beef sausage, the kind you see at the holidays with cheese and crackers. I sliced off 1/4 pound and ground it in the food processor then fried per recipe instructions. No leftovers, delicious.

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2003
This was so easy and very good! I halved the recipe and I didn't have whipped topping so I added 1/2 of a 1/2 pint of whipping cream to the milk mixture and whipped it until the right consistency. Also, instead of putting a top layer of cracker ... I finished it off with one crumbled cracker. This will be made again!

Raisin-Studded Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
The instructions in this recipe need to be modified to claify a bit. It instructs to add broth and herbs then pour over stuffing mixture...aren't you adding the broth and herbs to the stuffing mixture? How could you then pour it over? I realize now what to do but while I was making it it was confusing so I just went for broke and mixed everything together in no particular order. I used a mixed bag of raisins and cherries, I used bulk mild italian chicken sausage...if you can't get bulk you can get the links and cut them open to fry. I had two stuffing boxes on hand, and the stove top was better for this particular recipe as it comes already "crushed" and crushing the pep. farm proved difficult. Very pleased with taste! Thanks for sharing.
