Angel Hair Pasta With Fresh Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2002
This was a wonderfully tasty, quick, simple, and light recipe. I added a chopped jalepeno pepper for some punch. I also added fresh parsely and ground pepper. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. Subsitute any kind of pasta..doesnt have to be angel hair. Thanks!

Broccoli Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2002
This lasagna was fantastic! I used the "no boil" noodles and blanched some fresh brocolli. Also, used light mozarella and ricotta cheese. It was my first lasagna ever and will make many, many more times. Thanks for a great recipe...

Blackened Portobello-Mushroom Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2002
This is an excellent recipe! Very tasty and extremley simple - yet people think you spent forever making it. I sliced my mushrooms before marinating for less mess. Also, I marninate for several hours for a wonderful robust flavor.

Asparagus Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2002
This was excellent! I used fresh asparagus and steamed it first using chicken broth. Then I realized the only crackers I had on hand were Triscuts, which turned out to be a good substitute. Eliminated the almonds and followed the recipe otherwise and it was fantastic, thanks!

Aunt Bev's Famous Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Very good! This was a big hit...I used more cinnamon and less sugar as other reviewers mentioned. I used Cortland apples. I also dusted the inside of the bottom crust with flour to keep from getting soggy and glazed the top crust at the end of baking with sugar and 2 tablespoons of melted butter!

Strawberry Trifle

Reviewed: May 12, 2003
This was a BIG hit! I made this twice...last night I made it for Mother's Day and it was devoured! Also, I substitued low fat ingredients such as skim milk for pudding and low fat whip cream. Thanks for a great recipe - perfect for big groups.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Awesome! I used this reciped with a 15lb roast on Christmas day! I was very skeptical as was my mother-in-law but sure enough this was fantastic! I did rub with olive oil and Montreal Steak Seasoning and a can of beef broth in the bottom of the pan. I also let roast sit on counter for about 30 mins covered in foil after taking out of the oven.

Baked Vegetables I

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2002
This was excellent! I add a different variety of vegetables every time - zucchini, summer squash, whatever. I follow the advice of others though and cook the potatoes first as they take longer than others. Thanks though!

Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2002
Good recipe. I brought this to an outdoor party. It was quite warm out and the dip became soupy. The flavor was good and people (especially the kids) liked this but it looked gross after only a couple of hours.

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2003
These were cute but labor intensive. They are more for show-not really for eating. I doubt I would make these again.

Ham and Fresh Basil Pinwheels

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2003
Phenomenal! These were excellent and very easy to do. I followed some other's advice and cut the sundried tomatoes into small pieces. I then cut up the basil into small pieces with a pair of kitchen scissors. I served these at a party and they were a big hit.

Pork Balls and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2002
My boyfriend and coworker really loved these. I liked them but the smell of meat and cabbage throughout the house made me lose my appetite a bit. Try them if you like saurkraut.

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
This was fantastic. I did make the night before. I did not add the sugar as it was sweet enough. I also did not add the club soda or Sprite to the entire batch. Rather, I mixed in individual glasses. Therefore, if people wanted it sweeter I mixed w/Sprite...if not I mixed with club soda. This was a big hit at my 4th of July party...doubling the recipe makes a gallon...I made 3!

Tangy Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2004
Easy and yummy. This has a different flavor that my husband and I really enjoyed. It was a bit too cold to use the grill today so I broiled in the oven and it was great.I used a spicy honey mustard instead of Dijon. Will make again!

Candied Kielbasa

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2002
Brought this to a party and people raved about it. I personally was looking for more of a "sweet and sour" kilbasa rexipe. This was good though on the sweeter side.
