About this Cook
I'm an Asian college student who loves to cook. Even though I'm not particularly good at it, I try really hard!!
My favorite things to cook
Probably the only thing I've perfected from scratch is Apple Pie...
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom cannot cook at all, but my dad can cook extremely well. My parents own a Chinese restaurant and I get my taste buds from my dad. I can't cook, but I am very very good at putting tastes together :)!!

Snickerdoodles IV
I've never eaten snickerdoodles before, but my roommate has. She said these don't taste like snickerdoodles, but more like cinnamon cookies. I thought they were delish though! I added nutmeg to the dough and 1Tbs more of sugar to the Sugar/Cinnamon mix. Also, she said that they left a strange after taste, but I didn't have that problem. **I baked at 375 for 10 mins and they were PERFECT!

Chinese Cookies
I must have done something wrong, but I didn't have a good experience with these. I omitted walnuts and took other peoples recommendations and added the cocoa powder. They turned out looking like doodoo...the dough was not dough like. It was like it needed flour to become dough. It was runny, but not runny. I'm not making sense, but I followed the recipe exactly except for the walnuts and the cocoa powder. *sigh* I had so much hopes for this cookie, but I guess I'm doing it wrong. If anyone knows what I did wrong, let me know.
