Savory Bubble Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Delicious bread! The key to handling the super sticky dough is the BUTTER (not the flour). I kept putting flour on my hands and getting nowhere. Butter your fingers BEFORE you touch the dough. Grab a piece, put it in the butter BEFORE you try to roll it in a ball. Then you'll be good to go. My first batch was a bit of a mess because I only figured the butter thing out halfway through. But it still came out delicious. And I'll be making it again next weekend for friends coming over. Also, if you're using a bread maker, this takes approximately 3 hours from start to finish - not 1 hr 15 mins. One thing I really like about the dough recipe is that it is so versatile. You could roll this bread around in sweet stuff and it would be yummy too.

Savory Party Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
This was soooooooo good! I made it for a get together with 8 people and we finished it pretty quick. I only used half the butter and cheese (and it was still plenty). Next time I will probably eliminate the butter altogether. Once the cheese melts, it's dripping with oil. I also added 1 tsp of garlic salt to the butter/onion mixture. Yum! I look forward to experimenting with different kinds of cheese and bread.

Stewed Cabbage

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Loved it! I added a can of Italian-style diced tomatoes and some fresh basil. Really good cabbage recipe. Great as a side dish. At some beans or crumbled tofu for a vegetarian main dish. As others have said, it would also be great with some kielbasa or ground beef.

Pesto Sauce

This pesto was good, but there was nothing exceptional about it. It's a good start for modification and developing your own recipe.

Tangy Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
I really didn't like this. There was way too much spice and onion to be combined with something as delicate as cucumber.

Blueberry Mojito Tea Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
Overall, this was a good start and a very creative idea, but rather bland. I made a few modifications to the recipe (see below). If I made this again, I would also use less sugar, the juice of the lime, and at least twice the mint. You can barely taste it at all. Modifications: 1. Used an 8" x 4" baking dish (couldn't find 7x3) 2. Mix of olive and vegetable oil (couldn't find grapeseed oil) 3. Added the juice from the zested lime (batter tasted a little bland) 4. Baked it for 75 minutes (!!!) Given that the baking dish I used was larger, I exepected a shorter cooking time, not more than double.
