Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Delicious. I used semi-sweet chips and white chocolate chips, with the walnuts. Make sure you bake on 350. Anything less will make them spread to much.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Very easy to make. The entire family loved it, which is hard with an autistic son. He had a bowl of "juice" by itself. Definitely a keeper.

Daddy's Fried Corn and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
I can give this 5 stars. I used bacon grease instead of butter and frozen corn instead of fresh. After reading some other comments, I added freshly dice tomatoes near the end. My entire family loved it, especially my 6yo. My son didn't care for it because of the tomatoes, so I picked them out. I also added a drop of freshly chopped garlic. Very very good recipe and many things can be added. Will definitely make again.

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
This is a easy recipe and very tasty. I have never made zucchini bread, but my entire family loved it. Next time I might add some carrots and apples, as another baker did, and some cream cheese drizzle. My son, who does not like zucchini was eating them after school and when I told him what they were, he frowned up his face and continued to eat them. Definitely a keeper.

I give this recipe 5 stars. I used it to frost a cake and it crusts perfectly. It was very smooth, very easy to make, and tastes great. My new favorite chocolate buttercream frosting. Thanks Nancy for the great recipe.

Simple and quick. I used mini graham cracker crusts, with blueberries, strawberries, mandarin oranges, and kiwi. Topped with a dollop of fresh whipped cream. Yummy. To die for.

I thought this cheesecake lived up to its name. It was creamy and delicious. I didn't have any lemons so I used lemon juice. Yummy.

Sweetened Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
This was absolutely delish. We will no longer be purchasing cool whip or redi whip in the can. My kids love it, and so do I. We served it with a lemon pound cake topped with fresh strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. Definitely a keeper.

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
This recipe is definitely a keeper. The rolls are perfect, and you do get a lot. They are super easy to make and taste wonderful. I did, however, add about an extra 1/2 cup of flour and brushed the rolls halfway through baking with melted butter and again when they came out of the oven. I made about 20 dozen for Thanksgiving dinner and didn't have a single one left.

The Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
I didn't have any steak sauce, so I used barbecue sauce. I didn't read the directions before I made it and added 2/3 cup to the mixture (I doubled the recipe). I didn't have any bread crumbs, so I got my grater and shredded some garlic bread. It's a very moist meatloaf, and my family loved it. My 4 year old, who does not eat red meat, had an entire slice of it. Yummy. We had mashed potatoes, peas, corn, and dinner rolls (Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls from this website). Perfect meal for a Sunday. Thanks for the great recipe.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
This was DELICIOUS. My kids loved it, and it tasted even better the next day. I didn't change a thing in the recipe. For side dishes, I had loaded mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and green beans. Definitely a keeper.

Dump Cake IV

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
I actually gave this five stars. I didn't have any cherry pie filling so I used a can of crushed pineapples, coconut, and bananas, with chocolate cake. I had butter in the freezer, so I grated it over the cake mix. DELICIOUS. My kids loved at, as well as my hubby. I didn't use a bundt pan, I used a 9X13 pan, and it turned out great. I will definitely make this again and again, with different fruits.

Baked Beans from Scratch

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
I soaked the beans overnight and then put everything in the crockpot at the same time to let them cook. I also used ham to season the beans that I had left over from a Sunday dinner in the freezer. These beans were great. I would not change a thing. I cooked them in the crockpot on low overnight and then turned the crockpot up to high when I got up in the morning and let them cook for 3 more hours or so. They were soooooo good. My three year old who hardly eats anything loved them. She even asked for seconds and I had to fry her some chicken to go with the second bowl. Thanks for the great recipe.

Butter Cookies V

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
I give them a 4star because I am not sure if I did something wrong. After combining the flour with the butter mixture, the mix was crumbly. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like this, so I added a little buttermilk to make it stick together. They were pretty good though. If anyone can tell me if the mix is supposed to be crumbly, please do let me know.

Punch Bowl Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
This cake was so good. I had baked a cake that fell when my kids were jumping around in the kitchen and I didn't want to throw it away. I made this and the only thing I changed was I used pecans instead of walnuts(didn't have any). Yum yum yum. I will definitely be making this again and again.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Have used many variations to this. I added crushed pineapple. Loved it. Added golden raisins. Loved it. Added zucchini, pineapple, and golden raisins. Waiting for those to come out of the oven. Kids love them, I love them, and I am passing along 3 dozen for friends and family.

Quick Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
These rolls were quick to make and delicious. The only thing I wrong to me was the quantity. I wanted 40 rolls, so I changed the quantity. I ended up with 5 dozen rolls, a loaf of cheese bread, and a fruit stollen. All were very delicious and came in time for the blackout from the winter storm. I will definitely be making this recipe again, as you can make anything from it.

Six Egg Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I have eaten my share of pound cakes, made by older relatives. This one was one of the best. My mom thought that I had been to see Aunt Catherine. After reading all of the reviews, I decided to put the batter into 2 bundt pans, and I am glad I did. Both rose to the top, but didn't run over. I will be making this one again, and will try different extracts, other than vanilla. Very, very good.
