Throw It All In a Pot
About this Cook
I am a novice cook. Recently I have ventured away from recipes and followed my instinct on how to season and add flavor. I still LOVE a good recipe that I smile and take initial credit for. "wink, wink" I LOVE to tweak an already delicious recipe. This web site has been my best friend since college! GREAT SITE!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook stews and chili.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookies....once I get a good oven...I will make the family cookies again for all the holidays. For now...pies will have to suffice.
My cooking triumphs
One day during the winter I had several chicken breast I needed to cook. I went out on a limb. I boiled the chicken with a can of almost everything. I seasoned it and served it to my then boyfriend. He asked to take left overs home!!!
My cooking tragedies
Along with my wonderful "throw a bunch of stuff in a pot and hope its edible" philosophy...I haven't always had success. I once was trying to make a spiked dessert. It was the day of the party I needed the dish for and I thought I would just whip it all together. NOT!!! My pie filling never thickened and the crust got all soggy. Turns out in my haste I had grabbed the wrong kind of pie filling. I had to buy a dish for the party after throwing away two soggy pies and a whole bottle of Bailey's.

Puppy Chow
It was so good to have some Puppy Chow again with less guilt!! I used reduced fat peanut butter to help reduce the fat.
