About this Cook
I'm a wife and mom...ergo, I'm a cook. My family loves eating my cooking almost as much as I love making it for them. To give credit where it's due, my wonderful Hubbs can sure hold his own when it comes to the kitchen. I think that's one of the things that drew us together.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking pretty much everything. I'm Native American and Italian so there is a very rich background there. I like to think I've got skills in the kitchen. That being said, I'm always looking for new twists on old favorites and ways to broaden my culinary visions and abilities.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love it when I wake up and find my 4 year old flipping pancakes with her daddy! That would have to be my favorite!!!
My cooking triumphs
BISCUITS!!! My biscuits are DA BOMB!!!...just ask my mister. He won't eat any others but mine; not even from a resturant...he says it's cheating!
My cooking tragedies
Pie crust...I can't even talk about it. It just makes me sad.

Apple Crisp II
Winner, winner...this is what my family wants after dinner!!! I followed the directions and this was superb! The only "extra" I added was some raisins, because that's what my mister wanted! It was SOOOOO good! This may very well turn into my "go to" dessert.

Hash Brown Quiche
LOVE THIS MEAL!!! I omitted the ham and added mushrooms and diced tomatoes. I sauted all my veggies in a skillet with a smidge of butter and then baked it. SUPER GREAT!!! I did up the eggs...I think I used 6 or so. Also, I instead of hashbrowns I used tater tots which I crumbled and browned in a skillet before putting them in the oven. It was a little time consuming but that may be that it was my first go'round at this. I guarentee I will be making this again and I bet it won't take me as long once I'm 100% sure of what I'm doing!
