I wish I had read the suggestions before starting this recipe, but overall it was still good mainly as-is. It's definitely a good not-too-sweet recipe, which I like better than the really sugary and nutty banana breads. I do think it would have been better with more spices; I added a bit of cinnamon and looking at what the other reviewers suggested, I think I should have gone with my gut and tossed in some more spices.
But it's an excellent base recipe to use when experimenting, and it was very moist. I made muffins with half and a pie plate of bread with the other half and it all came out very nicely.
