Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie
Kudos to Dad!! This was so tasty, warm and filling for a frosty Fall eve. I was only going to make one pie, but found I had the perfect amt of turkey for two. I used one pkg(16 Oz) frozen mixed veggies that had peas, corn, carrots and green beans....came out to the 4c called for. The filling had enough body to it, not too thick nor runny. (someone suggested a Can of soup substitute....No Way!) I omitted the celery seed, had none, and used one beryl Lg onion. My hubby and I agreed it was the Best either of us has ever had, and we both are pretty good cooks.
Yes, I "cheated" and used the Pillsbury refrigerated crusts....so much easier. This one ended my search for The Perfect Turkey Pot Pie.....this is IT! Thank you Dad and Allrecipes! Love this site!!
