Milk Chocolate Florentine Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2005
I love these cookies. They are always the ones people request. However, I find that they are better crispier (and easier to peel off the foil). Leave them in the oven 10 minutes instead of five to seven. :-)

Red Pepper Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2006
Mine turned out a little thin, so I cooked and added a butternut squash. It was so good, I didn't even need to add the cream. An excellent simple recipe perfect for bread dunking!

Chocolate Pizzelles

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2003
Good but much softer than normal pizzelles. Also beware of chunkier hazelnut morsels getting stuck on the pizzelle iron

Chocolate Pecan Pie VI

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
This really is chocolate torte w/ pecans. I loved it but the kids didn't. It is VERY rich and VERY dense. Needs to be renamed, yummy if you want a torte, too rich if you are looking for a choc. pecan pie.

Best Carrot Cake Ever

This was the best carrot cake ever. I made it for my husband's birthday and he LOVED it (he is picky). I will be making this one again.

Yummy. I used Light Cream w/ a little whole milk and Smart Balance and it was still very very good.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2007
It is rare that I do not enjoy a highly rated recipe from this site. Actually this might be the first time. The balsamic was too strong & the tomatoes added to the overkill of acidy flavor. I will not make this one again.

Awesome. Also easy to prepare in advance by jarring the sauce. This recipe is a KEEPER!

Quinoa, Beet, and Arugula Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
Delicious. We made this to serve as the salad for our Easter Sunday lamb supper. We will be making it again. Used rainbow quinoa instead of red to save a few dollars. Still amazing.

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Yummy. I used panko and had lots of bread crumb mixture left over to use for another meal.

Caroline's Chocolate Fudge Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
Maybe I did something wrong but I followed the directions and it turned out like a glaze instead of a frosting. I tried to correct it by adding another half recipe w/ much less milk (1/8 cup) and still not thick enough for frosting a layer cake. I thought about using it anyway but then I tasted it, WAY TOO SWEET for my taste. It was sweeter than bought icing. I gave up.

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
I didn't even really like apple pie b4 this. I guess I never tried the right one. I used Empire apples and I used a vergetable peeler to slice the apples nice and thin. The pie is gone and I will be baking another one tonight or tomorrow. YUMMY!

It was alright. Could be that I just prefer a more savory meatloaf.
