Skyline Chili I

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2002
I live in cincy and this didnt really taste like skyline. I think I need to use fattier meat or something. The restaurant is much better and easier. If you want real skyline and you dont live here check out their website and order the canned chili from anywhere.

Roast Leg of Lamb

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2002
This was my first time making lamb roast and it turned out great, if I say so myself. My husband always orders lamb at restaurants and he LOVED it. I served it with mint sauce and have enough left over for another meal or two. I added fresh lemon juice and used dried rosemary. Thanks for the recipe!

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2002
This is our new family staple! We love it. Thanks. I did add way less oil and instead of wrapping each fillet individually I just put foil on top of my pyrex dish that I was marinating it in and cooked it like that. Also, I put it in the crock pot once so it could be ready when we got home and the results were suprisingly good! Thanks!

Italian Beef in a Bucket

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2002
I liked the flavor of this alot but I was a bit dissappointed in the texture...I thought it would be more tender. My family liked it ok, but my husband said he would be ok if I never made it again.

Crawfish Chowder

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2002
I had my Louisiana family in town and made this and everyone LOVED it, including my 1 and 2 year olds. I did half cream and half milk, but other than that I did exactly the same. What a yummy new way to use crawfish, coming from a Louisiana Girl....that is a HUGE compliment! Thanks

Quick and Easy Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2002
YUM! I had never made chowder before and was a bit intimidated and this was yum..My husband doesnt even like it and he lapped this up. We are from Louisiana so I think next time I would add some shrimp or crawfish to it because it was a bit liquidy. Also, I added a potato and would probably add a couple more next time. My two year old LOVED this!!!

I thought this was really yummy..I had it years ago at a friends house in Houston (Texmex country)and could never find my recipe and this one came close. I do agree that it was a bit dry and I doubled the cheese. VERY YUMMY-even more so the next day!!!

Praline Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2001
My mom has always made this recipe for thanksgiving as long as I can remember but I think the heavy cream really added alot. I would maybe cut back on some of the vanilla, maybe next time only use half as much.
