Cheesy Italian Bread

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
This bread was AWESOME. I definitely recommend using fresh grated romano..it definitely adds something. Served this with homemade red sauce and meatballs--yum!

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
This was good. I made it exactly like the recipe--next time I will switch the cornmeal/flour mixture, like suggested by others. It needed just a bit more corn flavoring for our liking...but we still gobbled it up!

Mini Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
These were OK. I made them exactly as directed, and they just seemed dense and dry...My kids loved them, but maybe I'm just a yeast roll kind of girl!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This was AMAZING. My kids aren't usually big chicken fans, but they gobbled every bit of this up! I cooked the chicken a little longer, as I had bigger pieces of meat--but it still came out absolutely moist and delicious! Next time I might try different flavored crackers just for a change!

Peppermint Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
These brownies were awful. I followed the directions exactly, and they came out very gritty. My husband wouldn't even eat them, and he eats everything.

Sausage Potato Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
This was REALLY easy to do...and easy to adapt to what you have at home! I used 1/2 lb of smoked sausage, 1/2 lb of pork (it's what I had on hand), a can of cream of chicken, and a can of fiesta nacho cheese---my kids loved it! It turned out great.

Maple Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
These cookies are amazing! I just made them for our superbowl party tomorrow--and just had to eat one! I did use maple extract instead of vanilla, and used Butter Pecan Maple Syrup instead of regular---and I did do the glaze from one of the previous reviewers. They are awesome! Great cookie.

Bacon-Roasted Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Wow!!! This was incredible. I made it according to the directions using skinless thighs and drumsticks. I used russets because it was all I had. I also used seasoning salt instead of adobo as I did not have any. This was the juiciest chicken I've ever had. I'm not a dark meat fan but this rocked.

Easy Spicy Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
All I had were yukon's around so I used those instead. They turned out wonderful. Mine actually looked better than the picture ones..Definitely recommend the cheese too!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

These were incredible. I have always hated sloppy joes (Manwich) but these tasted great! My kids and hubby loved them too!

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
Absolute hit with my 4 year old and 1 year old! It was delicious. I didn't have a bell pepper, so I omitted that, but otherwise made it as directed. Wonderful!

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
The mix for the burgers themselves was awesome! Great flavor. I had a minor issue with the bacon not cooking enough, but I had to use my George Foreman grill as we just moved and our grill isn't put together...maybe if I par-cooked the bacon first, then wrapped them around the burgers they would be amazing!

Seasoned Oven Fries

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
These were ok...Not much flavor. I did add pepper but that wasn't even enough. They took longer than 25 minutes, but my potatoes were huge, so I'm sure that's why.

Flavorful Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
This is a great way to fancy up canned soup! I did not have onion on hand, so I used onion salt along with the paprika, garlic, and basil. It was the best canned soup I've had. Went great with my grilled cheese:)

Hash Brown and Egg Casserole

I used bacon along with sausage and this was yummy! I only had one small slice of it left after dinner was over! My kids are huge breakfast fans so this was a hit!

Baked Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
I added 3 cooked, cut up hot dogs to this and my kids went NUTS. They loved it! I didn't have penne, so I used tri-colored rotini I had. Added panko bread crumbs to the top at the end--perfect!

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
I would have given it 5 stars had I used freshly grated Parmesan. It's true that grated does not melt well, and my sauce was thick and clumpy. Next time for sure I will use grated. Otherwise it was delicious!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
This was incredible. I used 6 fresh chicken breasts, and due to time restrictions I baked them in the oven, and then shredded them. I put them in my slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients and let it cook for 2ish hours, and my husband has been RAVING about it. I actually used MORE BBQ sauce as the chicken I used was huge pieces. Wonderful!
