Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
I love this recipe. I did try a "no additional sugar" version where I used Splenda sugar & Splenda brown sugar. Conversion is 2 tbsp. each of the Splenda sugars for the 1/4 c. sugars. I also did 2 rounded tsp. of corn starch, a little more than recipe calls for, and used frozen peach slices verses fresh peaches. My husband is a diabetic and he loves peach cobbler so I thought I would try it out. It came out so good! You couldn't tell this was made with Splenda, in my opinion, the frozen peaches worked perfectly and I also topped it with sliced almonds which gave it a little crunch. Now I have two ways to make this recipe.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2013
This is a great recipe. I read the majority of the reviews and decided to follow the recipe as is. I did add 1/2 tsp ground cloves. I used a field pumpkin,(got it from the store for Halloween but never carved it.) Using fresh pumpkin, in my opinion, makes for a fluffier and lighter pie. I also made it in a graham cracker crust. The finished product was a light, fluffy, well balanced tasting pie. Other reviewers added sugar, I don't think it needed the added sugar. The sweetened condensed milk has sugar in it and if you make it with a graham cracker crust, that also has sugar in it too. I will use THIS recipe only. It's very easy to put together. This is a very good recipe.

easy! this was very easy to follow and they came out awesomely delicious! I only used 4 cups flour. I was shy 1/2 c of a/p flour so I used 1/2 c of cake flour and didn't make a difference. They do have a slight sweetness to them thats great tasting. This is a great recipe. thx!

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
The best lemon bars by far! Easy to follow recipe and do as it says: NO SUBSTITUTIONS. Once out of the oven you have to let it rest to firm up a bit. It's a great recipe and not to sweet but with the right amount of tartness. Highly recommend this one. thx!

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
excellent meatloaf! I added the Worcestershire sauce and sauted the onion w/chopped garlic (as the other reviewer said) and it came out amazing. I used saltine crackers instead of bread crumbs. A tip: I mix the crumbs, onion, s & p, egg, & worcestershire sauce together first, then add the beef. I do that so i know there is even distribution of ingredients thoughout. I didn't add the milk and it was still excellent. For the topping I used 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard, 2 tablespoons brwn sugar & 1/2 c ketchup and poured it on meatloaf at last 10 min. of cooking. Sauted onions did make a difference. When you take it out of the oven, let it rest about 5 min. before slicing. This was the best recipe for meatloaf i've found so far. My husband really loved it.. It was very juicy. thx!

Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
Great recipe! Very easy to make, looked and tasted wonderful! It was crispy on top and ooey gooey goodness in the middle. I followed the recipe but added about 1/2 tsp of cinnamon & 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg to the dry ingredients before I added the milk. I also used 1 16oz can of sliced peaches and 1 16oz can of apricots. The mix of the two fruits were tasty. It came out delicious. I highly recommend this recipe.
