excellent meatloaf! I added the Worcestershire sauce and sauted the onion w/chopped garlic (as the other reviewer said) and it came out amazing. I used saltine crackers instead of bread crumbs. A tip: I mix the crumbs, onion, s & p, egg, & worcestershire sauce together first, then add the beef. I do that so i know there is even distribution of ingredients thoughout. I didn't add the milk and it was still excellent. For the topping I used 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard, 2 tablespoons brwn sugar & 1/2 c ketchup and poured it on meatloaf at last 10 min. of cooking. Sauted onions did make a difference. When you take it out of the oven, let it rest about 5 min. before slicing. This was the best recipe for meatloaf i've found so far. My husband really loved it.. It was very juicy. thx!
