I'm a twenty-someting new mom. I believe good food doesn't have to be complicated. Making food ahead and freezing for later are almost a neccesity here in Texas due to the heat; not to mention the time nad money I can save to spend with my family. I and my husband both love cooking and trying new things. Friends and family always enjoy being our guests at dinnertime!
My favorite things to cook
Tex-mex anything; chili at least once a week; pasta; classic southern dishes. I'm the kind of gal who isn't afraid to add bacon to a veggie burger with sprouts and avocado. I love baking brownies, cookies, and especially cobblers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I've been baking since I was 12, and at Thanksgiving my family always requested my signature brownies. Few things more special than originating a new family tradition.

Any time someone smells what I'm cooking and I see their face brighten.

One of my major regrets in life is that I didn't learn the joy of freezing dinners nad desserts sooner in my life; especially in college.
