Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Definitely toss chicken in flour before cooking. 2tsp. ground ginger worked just fine. We used Marie Sharps hot sauce from Belize & 2 Tbsp. was too much!

Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
The husband loved this, loved all the cheese! I used half ground beef w/half italian flavored ground turkey. Definitely add meat mixture to pasta & place 1/2 in bottom of pan. Top with provolone cheese. Then in small bowl mix sour cream, cottage (or ricotta) cheese & parmesan. Layer over provolone. Add remaining meat mixture & top with parmesan followed by mozzarella. Watch so cheese doesn't over cook, cover at beginning if needed.

Stromboli

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
We used pre-made pizza dough from the Breadsmith which made this super good & easy. We cooked it the full 30min as we like lots of meats, vegies & cheese. Looks professional when done!

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
These cups are such a pretty appetizer as well as tasty. I only used 1/4 cup Mayo & added couple spoonfuls of cream cheese. Also added diced green onion. Definitely cut biscuits in quarters.

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Guests LOVED these! Suggestions: Wear gloves when seeding peppers! Blanch Peppers for 2-3 min. Add few seeds to cheese mixture otherwise these are far too mild! Coated peppers w/bread crumbs 3 times: seasoned, unseasoned, then panko bread crumbs. Time consuming but... MMmmm good! Will try to freeze leftovers then bake @ 350 until bubbly (approx 15min) for next time.

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Easy & very good describes this well! Make sure you buy the ranch DRESSING mix... maybe why some reviewers said it was too salty. Added finely chopped green onions & made 2 balls (one rolled in chopped pecans other in crumbled bacon bits). Made the day before & turned out great!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Hosted party then found my husband eating it for breakfast the next morning ~ everyone loved it. Few adjustments: Mixed pudding, water & sweetened condensed milk then in separate bowl whipped 1/2 pt heavy cream... then folded in the cream w/the pudding mixture. Layered brownies, caramel syrup, heath toffee bits, choc. whipped cream, then cool whip & repeated. Options: substitue baileys for water... add strawberries to toffee layer??

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Messy & time consuming but great! Use fresh spinach & saute. Substitute italian saugage flavored turkey for beef (healthier & great flavor). Used ziploc bag w/cut corner to fill manicotti shells.
