Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
This is a quick easy recipe that my family loved when we tried it last summer. Side of fresh fruit and pretzels made it a great light dinner pool side

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: May 18, 2012
My family and I dont eat much meat and decided to try this recipe without meat first and we loved it. I did do a few small changes; I added a pinch of dried green onions, garlic salt and onion powder to the pan after all the other ingredients. I also added a little bit more salsa then let it all simmer on low for about 8-10 min instead of the 3 suggested. Because we dont fry anything I put the cheese and mixture on only half a tortilla shell then folded it in half and heated up on my George Forman using non stick spray (this cuts out all that need for butter). I served them with multi-grain corn chips, salsa, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Made a great summer dinner. Next time I might try adding the chicken like suggested but dont think it needs it.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Great recipe...however way to much mayonnaise...I stated filling the measuring cup up as I was reading directions. When I realized it was just to make the spread I stopped filling it up. I only used a little over a half cup and I still had plenty to toss. Because I used less mayo I also cut back to 3 tablespoons dressing. I used mayo with olive oil & fat free 15 calorie wishbone Italian dressing...made a great combo. For the mustard just a plain yellow mustard was wonderful... I also used my George Forman to grill them...a hint if you use your George Forman for any sandwich prop the front up (I use 2 small cans to do this) that way it grills it without being at an angle so it doesnt squish the sandwich that much...would also be great with mozzarella cheese. The only reason I rated it a 4 was because of the extra mayo, even though I tossed some I still felt I put to much on each sandwich trying to use it all.

Grilled Hawaiians

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
I used Hawaiian bread, and although it gave a good flavor it was to soft & got squished when I was flipping it. I would recommended the the Hawaiian bread however choose the rolls or hamburger buns. This are thicker and shouldnt be to much of an issue. Other then that I used a thin slice pre cooked ham, and grilled it before I put the sandwich together. I used to pieces a sandwich to allow the pineapple and cheese to stay away from the bread so the previous listed issues of soggy bread didnt happen. It does have a unique flavor, that will defiantly be made again =)

Baja Grilled Chicken Wrap

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
The family & I thought these were just okay, a little plain. I think I will try them one more time and add a little more seasoning & some green onions, however the recipe as is was a little disappointing.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I was looking for a quick recipe that didnt call for many ingredients...this is because my daughter decided the night before her last day of school before Christmas break she wanted to bring something to her homeroom class...We came across this recipe and and decided to try it...I read through a few of the reviews and took a few tips from others. I didnt use the shortening, I used butter instead, and I didnt measure the M&M's just used a little over half the bag in the mix, and the rest on top of it. I also added just a bit more flour then called for (after I mixed all the stuff together) just to make sure they didnt flatten to much. They turned out pretty good! Defiantly gonna have to try this one again

Chicken Club Wrap

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
I took a tip from the tips at the bottom and used a flavored wrap. I chose a tomato basil wrap. I believe this made the wrap that much better. I used turkey bacon, I personally like the turkey bacon better, however if your not a fan I wouldnt advise it. Both my daughters and one of their friends (ages 10-12) say they rate it a 5, they all loved it (I didnt put the onions in theirs). I made this for a dinner in the winter time (it was more fall weather though)...but cant wait to make this for a summer picnic, or summer trip to the beach. Great flavor, easy to make and easy to eat on the go. I wouldnt change anything about the recipe, maybe try another flavor wrap next time

Candy Cane Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
It was a simple recipe and made for a good Christmas party treat. It was a little chewy, where I expected more of a thick fudge like texture. I only used 1 cup of candy canes (because thats all I had, I didnt realize 3/4 of a box of mini canes would make so little) but it was plenty. Out of that 1 cup I saved a little bit to layer the top with and I am glad that I did. I took the advice of others on here and didnt add the food coloring until I put it in the pan, then I dropped it in small drops and swirled it. I liked the look of that better then it being all pink. Other then that it was a pretty good recipe and makes a really good addition to a cookie platter for a holiday get together. My only advice is cut the squares pretty small, it is a very rich sweet.

Apple Walnut Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
I have spent hours looking for recipes for Christmas dinner for the family and a Christmas party. I decided on this one, but wanted to try it first. So I whipped up a batch for a side to my husbands birthday dinner tonight. The outcome...this is defiantly a recipe that will be made for the Christmas party! We are in love with it. I did take some of the other comments into consideration and here are the only things I changed; Vanilla Greek yogurt (to be honest I am not a fan of Greek yogurt, but wanted it thick) Slenda brown sugar mixed pecans and walnuts mixed cherries and cranberries (both dried) Next time I will add Grapples with the apples to add some grape flavor as well Other then that its a wonderful recipe, and my husband has said that when I make it for the party he better be gone or I better make an extra batch (to which I already have to quadruple it) Thanks for the starter idea, I will be building on this one

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
My husband couldnt even put his fork down! Like others on here I didnt have to add the ending ingredients to make it thicker it didnt need it. I did add more pepper and salt, and only used 1 lg. onion I felt 3 was over kill. I had a few user errors and had some issues with opening the wine. Although my walls now have purple wine stains I will make it again =)
