Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
I had fresh chicken, not frozen but otherwise kept everything the same. This was absolutely delicious! The taste was amazing and the house smelt wonderful. Will definitely make this again, so simple.

Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
This soup was absolutely fantastic! Added a few more sticks of celery than written but kept it the sane otherwise. Made it in the slow cooker as it's my biggest pot. Stuck everything in and cooked on high for 5 hours. Will make this again and again!

Just made this for my fiancé and he loved it. We are in Australia and therefore used an Aussie jelly brand. Will make again, it's very pretty for company!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
These satisfy a mean PB and choc craving, that's for sure! I did these in a muffin tray sprayed with olive oil and they came out perfect. I used milk chocolate on the bottom and sides and dark chocolate on the top. Absolutely delicious!

How great are these!? You can really be creative and come up with all sorts of different combinations with cheese and salsa, depending on who you are feeding. Yum!

French Beef Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
I always make a conscious effort to follow recipes the way they written first, and rate them based on this. However, I want to rate this five stars even though I changed the cooking method. After browning the meat I chucked everything in the slow cooker for 4 and a half hours on high. Kept ingredients the same. This tasted really delicious, and the meat was lovely and tender. Didn't think the mustard was overpowering at all.

Baked Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
I love recipes with only four ingredients that taste delicious, and are simple too. As written, this produces a lot of sauce, so I'll make rice next time too and pour the mixture over it.

Peppermint Schnapps Liqueur

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
We didn't have corn syrup so we used a mix of sugar and water. Also didn't have enough plain vodka so had to add a quarter of a cup of vanilla flavoured, which added a nice warmth to the peppermint. Used a few drops of food colouring for a nice green colour. Yum!

Glazed Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2010
Absolutely delicious! I marinated these for six hours and my fiance declared these the best ever - and proceeded to eat some of mine! I didn't add any other seasonings, and after trying them, glad I didn't - they tasted fine on their own.

These were so easy to make, and delicious! Followed the recipe as is, found it perfect. Next time I might try dark chocolate as they were very sweet.

Colored Sugar

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
This was brilliant, and fun as well! I used a milkshake shaker to mix the ingredients - which is so handy as it only pours out of a little hole, rather than a jar. Made aqua and purple, and plan to sprinkle over doughnuts and icecream!

Chili con Carne III

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
While making this, my partner and I thought it lacked a bit of oomph, so we added a can of corn kernels, and a jar of salsa. With these additions we reckon its a 5 star recipe and will be making it often! Thanks for a great base recipe!

Carrot and Tuna Bites

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
These were great! I am watching my weight at the moment, so I loved these. I added a dash of soy sauce as someone suggested and I also sprinkled some garlic & chilli mix in. The tuna I used had tomato and onion in it. The best thing about a recipe like this is that you can experiment with different tuna flavours! Thanks!

Anytime Almonds

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
I ADORED these almonds! I am looking for nice healthy snacks to make and this fitted the bill perfectly. As I am just learning my way around a kitchen, I appreciated the simplicity of these almonds. I used sea salt instead of kosher as this is what the general australian grocery shop has. Delicious!
