Anytime Almonds

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
I ADORED these almonds! I am looking for nice healthy snacks to make and this fitted the bill perfectly. As I am just learning my way around a kitchen, I appreciated the simplicity of these almonds. I used sea salt instead of kosher as this is what the general australian grocery shop has. Delicious!

Zippy Summer Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
This was delicious! We followed the recipe, only halving it as it was just for two, and used green prawn meat from our supermarket. It was quick, easy and just the perfect mix of basil, lemon and chile flavour. *** Just did this dish again using a marinara mix (prawns, fish, mussels, squid) and the flavour was perfect! The lemon and the chili really work well with other seafood besides prawns! This dish is now a staple in our kitchen.

Apricot Chicken I

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2010
This was a really simple and delicious recipe that even a kitchen novice like me can do! Our supermarket doesnt stock Russian dressing so we used thousand island and it still tasted great.

Cashew Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
This was quick but soo yummy! It had a lot of flavour for only a few ingredients. Make sure to make plenty of sauce, as it tastes great poured over the chicken.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
This was very quick and tasty. Next time I might marinate the meat overnight so its more tender. I thought the sauce was excellent, and was just the right amount for two of us, even though I used the recipe for four!

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
this was a great recipe to try out our new slow cooker. We followed the measurements exactly and found it delicious. However, next time we might cut down on the chilli powder as we are both wussy in the heat department and not used to chilli!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
This recipe made for a great curry! We used tomato paste instead of sauce and cut down on the amount of curry powder for a sweeter taste, but next time I will make just as instructed. Thanks for a simple yet delicious recipe!

Carrot and Tuna Bites

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
These were great! I am watching my weight at the moment, so I loved these. I added a dash of soy sauce as someone suggested and I also sprinkled some garlic & chilli mix in. The tuna I used had tomato and onion in it. The best thing about a recipe like this is that you can experiment with different tuna flavours! Thanks!

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
These were awesome! Everybody loved them! We used Miracle Whip instead of mayonaise and a freezer bag with a hole in the corner to allocate the mixture, as we don't have a piping bag. If you have any spare mixture left over, it would taste great on a sandwich with lettuce! Will definitely make these again.

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
These were really easy to make and quite tasty. I'm glad we didn't marinate these for any length of time, as I thought the sauce was quite strong on its own. I would have liked to have tasted the honey more, so next time I'll double the amount.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
These tasted surprisingly great, considering there's very little to it! I marinated our two chops for a few hours and then baked them for 35mins uncovered. I used diet Coke, and they tasted sweet, but not overly so.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
I loved this sauce! It was sweet without being overly so, and really was perfect over chicken. I marinated it for five hours and followed the recipe as is. Paired this with Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce, from this website. My new favourite!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

After baking these for an hour, the meat just fell off the bone. While my sauce was a bit runny, the juice tasted great over beans, corn and carrots!

Baked Omelet

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
This was so tasty! I used the blender to mix the eggs and milk so it came out nice and frothy. I also added green and red capsicum (peppers) and used reduced salt seasoning. Delicious and easy to experiment with different vegies!

Aimee's Quick Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
This was really good. I marinated the chicken breasts for a few hours in the mustard and teriyaki sauce before baking, and the chicken was very tender. We don't really like parmesan so used mozzarella instead, which was delicious!
