Pot Sticker Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2002
I cooked this as a sidedish, along with some fried rice, and they tasted *wonderful*! My brother especially liked the doughy part.

Chickpea and Pasta Soup

Easy to make, economical, and has a great taste! Just be warned- if you have dry rosemary instead of fresh, don't put two tablespoons of it in!

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
Went with everyone's suggestion and left out the taco seasonings. I didn't have any hot sauce on hand, so I put in some red pepper in instead (a little too much, in fact!). Great quick recipe.

Sauce Rosee

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2001
We were originally going to have spaghetti when I found this recipe. It's now one of our favorites. Adding shrimp to it really added a very nice touch. We couldn't find any white wine in our house (it was Sunday, so we couldn't buy any alcohol), so we used white zinfadel instead. Despite that, it still turned out wonderfully. We're definately cooking this one again.

Parmesan Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
Easy to make, and very good! A godsend for a college student, too. I cut out all the salt, however, since the chicken broth I used was already salty enough by itself.

Pasta e Fagioli a la Chez Ivano

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2002
Wonderful recipe, and well worth the time it takes to cook! The only modification I made was to cut down on the ground beef- since I made 10 servings instead of twenty, I simply put in one pound instead of one and a half to avoid opening another package of beef. Didn't miss it! I'll have to try putting in navy beans next time alongside the kidney beans.

Crazy Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2001
I made this for a Thanksgiving dinner I was going to. Since we didn't have any eggs and couldn't go to the market to get some, this recipe was really a godsend. Not only that, it tastes just as good as any normal chocolate cake! I'm definately baking this again.

Creamy Vegetable Chowder

An awesome soup for when you're on a strict budget. I myself often add some garlic powder to spice things up.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2002
These *are* the best brownies. I sometimes make them before a road trip, then place them in the fridge overnight before we go. The brownie part is soft and just the right consisency, and the icing is so good I use it for other recipes!
