Fresh Asparagus Soup

tastes good but a little too salty... maybe b/c of the vegetable broth. added more soy milk ... about a cup or two... made it smoother~

I added 2 eggs to make the texture more solid! Otherwise, I just followed the recipe. Didn't add the raisins or anything else! It tasted light & delicious after refrigerated!! GOOD & HEALTHY DESSERT!

Coconut Sour Cream Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2004
I used 2 cups of nonfat plain yogurt instead of the sour cream, 1 cup of white sugar. It was still a little too sweet for my pallet. And I used yellow cake mix and 8 oz of the whipped topping as the other reviews, it was more than enough. But other than that, this was a good cake.

Brownie Caramel Cheesecake

The response I got was mixed. Well, everyone said it was good, but some said it was too sweet. Maybe because I added some white chocolate

Barbequed Ribs

I rate this recipe the best b/c my dad liked it! Which means it's flavorful and cooked right! It was good even without the sauce, my family already started eating the rib!

Strawberry Banana Split Cake

Reviewed: May 18, 2004
Everyone loved the combination! The negative comments were that it's too sweet! Next time I would probably add some sugar to the crust and omit the confectioner sugar layer. I used the cool whip + vanilla pudding mix for the top.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: May 18, 2004
LOVE IT! I made it the first time following the exact ingredients as the recipe, but used half brown sugar, half white. it was great. The second time, I substituted oil with apple sauce. It was still very good, the texture was slightly different. The one with the oil was richer, whereas the one with apple sauce was lighter but the bread was spongey. Loved both! But probably would go with applesauce still for next time.

Savory Tomato Bread Pudding

Reviewed: May 5, 2004
I really like the overall flavor of this. I used like a month old ciabatta bread, so it was very hard and crispy. I added about a cup of milk to help soften the bread, in fear that it would be baked even harder. It turned out good. For next time, I think I might add a little more raisin, and maybe some sausage? or prochiutto?

it's good!! my sister thinks it's too soury. I added a little more sesame oil to give it more sesame flavor. I also toasted some sesame and almonds! Yes! almonds!

Green Tea Layer Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2004
This is a very tasty cake! The green color showed up beautifully. the green tea flavor is light, so maybe you can add more depending on taste. It is very spongy & moist. I would definitely make this again!
