Chocolate-Filled Crescents

I have never made this exact recipe but I often do something very similar. I have found that a square or two of a Hershey's chocolate bar (I prefer dark) melts better than chocolate chips, so I usually use that. Chocolate chips will work fine though if you do not have a chocolate bar. I also brush the top of the crescents with egg wash and sprinkle them with granulated sugar prior to baking them. They always come out great!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

This recipe is quite sweet but very good! I made it in a muffin pan and it only took around 15 minutes to cook (on 375 degrees). This cornbread is very moist.

Guacamole

To be honest, I don't like guacamole. However, I make this recipe for my friends and family because they love it. Everyone agrees that it is the best guacamole they have ever had. Definitely a keeper.

Hot Pizza Dip

I made this for the first time yesterday and LOVED it! Our group of 7 devoured it quickly, so I would probably make a double recipe next time. I did half with no veggies, and half with olives but not peppers (since I didn't have any). I served it with crackers and tortilla chips, and I think the chips were the best. I will definitely be making this again very soon!

I make these according to the recipe and they always turn out great! Everyone loves them. I would suggest making them several hours (or a day) ahead of time because they take a while to set up to bar form. I usually end up eating them while they're still warm (with a spoon)... :)

Creamy Hot Cocoa

This recipe is very good but, upon reading other reviews, I reduced the amount of sugar. I also used a high quality cocoa powder, which gave it a more sophisticated flavor.

This was good, but the steaks were still a little dry and lacked some flavor. I think next time I will try and thicken the sauce and make more of a gravy.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

These were very good! My dad ate 6 and really wanted more. I used fresh parsley instead of dried, and I think that turned out well. I might also consider adding some of the spices/herbs to the batter next time, but they were fine without it.

This recipe is good, but not exceptional. The glaze has more flavor than the cake. But, considering how easy it was to make, I'd say it's a keeper!

Blackberry Pie I

This turned out so well, everybody loved it! I took the advice in other reviews and put egg wash on the bottom and top crust, poured a small amount of lemon juice on the berries, and put a few pats of butter on the berries before putting on the top crust. Wonderful with vanilla ice cream!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

This is so good! We make it any time we have extra bananas. I follow the recipe exactly, but sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar on top of the mixture once it is in the pan to give it a nice crust.
