About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook desserts especially something with chocolate or lemon in it. These are probably my two favorite flavors. As far as real food goes, I love Mexican and especially using cilantro in my food. Yum! It's such a fresh taste.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For New Years we started doing Fondue and I love that new tradition. But, gram cracker houses for Christmas is probably a favorite of mine.
My cooking tragedies
Oh, they happen far to often! My last one was actually a roll recipe from this site. I didn't let my milk cool down enough after cooking it and killed the yeast in the rolls. They were terrible, but my room mates still ate them!

Potato Bread III
Very dense texture as other reviewers have said, but I did only add part of the yeast so that could be why. The bread turns out very moist and isn't too crumbly which I love.

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch
Yummy! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I altered the recipe a bit after reading other reviews. I only put in half of the sugar that the recipe called for. I wanted to ensure I tasted the rhubarb. It worked. Putting in less sugar gave the perfect the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors. This recipe is a keeper!

Albondigas
Delicious! I didn't have onions or bouillon so I added an envelope of Lipton Onion Soup mix instead of the onion and bouillon. I also added 3/4 c. of tomato juice and about 1/2 of homemade salsa I had left over in my fridge. This was so yummy. The cilantro is what makes it, so make sure you add it fresh at the end. Yum! This is the 1st 5 Star rating I've ever given something on all recipes. It exceeded my expectations!
