White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I thought I'd give this recipe a shot, and it's not bad by any stretch, but I personally prefer a spicier, tomato-based chili. The cinnamon adds a nice touch, but I probably would have added some chili powder to the mix. I substituted some beer for the chicken broth, and that gave it a boost, but I think I'll stick with a more traditional chili recipe in the future.

I love the ease of this recipe! I use bone-in chicken thighs and follow the recipe as written. It's become a regular part of our household dinner rotation!

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
Wowie zowie! My entire family cleaned their plates AND had seconds of this recipe. As suggested by someone else, I used panko breadcrumbs and added some extra garlic powder to the breadcrumb mixture. The breading was delicious, and they came out super moist. This will be a regular recipe in my household.

Father-in-Law's Scallops with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Bacon

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
This was quite delicious and definitely a meal that we'll keep in our dinner rotation. Even my three-year-old son devoured it. As written, the sauce recipe is rather scant on quantity, so when I make it again, I would double the ingredients.

Spaghetti Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
This was a meal that my whole family enjoyed. Instead of the egg substitute, I used real eggs, but I think the pasta may have possibly stuck together a little better with a thicker mixture. I skipped the bell peppers and mushrooms and mixed in a pound of ground beef with the sour cream, cream cheese, and parmesan cheese.

Garlic Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
This was very easy to make and quite tasty! I added a lot more minced garlic than it called for as I love garlic and omitted the green onions. This recipe is a keeper!

Christmas Stars

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
This was my first endeavor into rolled cookie making, and they turned out quite nicely. I brought them to a holiday cookie exchange, and they were the first ones to be snatched up because they looked so festive. It's a little labor intensive but well worth it!

Black Bean, Barley and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2003
I absolutely love this recipe. Not only is it helpful, but it's easy. To add more zing to it, I add 2 bottles of non-light beer as well as two cans of Ro-tel tomatoes with green chiles. This has become a cool-weather favorite in my household!

This recipe was very easy to make and turned out to be very tasty. The amount of sugar was just right for the granny smith apples I used.
