About this Cook
I'm 50 years old and never learned to cook. I've taken up learning to cook this year and have really enjoyed it much to my surprise. I think I might actually be good at it too. LOL.
My favorite things to cook
Everything! I love walking through Whole Foods with a glass of wine and just coming across an ingredient and then finding a recipe to use it in. I'm trying to learn as much as possible about the various cooking processes and why certain ingredients react the way they do with other ingredients.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Not really any yet. No body in my family really every cooked for fun of cooking.
My cooking triumphs
Everyday is something triumphant!
My cooking tragedies
Omelette I didn't season the pan on well enough. Ended up looking more like scrambled eggs, but didn't make that mistake again.

Blueberry and Raspberry Pancake Topping
Perfect recipe. Easy to modify. I added blackberries and strawberries and poured over the Basic Crepes recipe. MMMMMMM

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon
I loved the addition of Dijon to the Salmon. I added some italian seasoned breadcrumbs mixed in butter on top of mustard and used Lemon No Salt Seasoning instead of salt and pepper. Result a really tangy Salmon with a wonderful crunchy texture.
