Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Really nice. My family prefers a paper thin crisp crust and even though I rolled this thin, it was still *slightly* doughy for the hubs. This is a winner though with the addition of parsley and italian spices, garlic powder. I whirled raw garlic in the chopper with oil and spread that right on the par baked crust, topped with fresh basil, smashed tomatoes and mozzarella. I doubled the recipe and will use the other half tomorrow for some lovely creation or another. Calzone maybe? This dough would work well for that.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

squishy, fluffy buns. I made the dough in the bread maker, and divided 16 balls for buns, rose again, baked for about 11 minutes or less at 400, and topped with butter and honey, and ate 3 1/2. Wayyy too good. I'll add extra sugar next time because that would be extra saaweeeettt.

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

The texture of this bread is light with a slight chew, beautiful. The crust came out kinda dark, as I don't know what all the settings on my machine mean but it did NOT come out as a tough crust. I was surprised and pleased. I didn't have any regular oatmeal so 2 packets of apple cinnamon instant did the trick, although it hardly matters since I see no trace of it in the sliced bread. I suspect this recipe is extremely versatile, you could use any variation of oatmeals from steel cut to instant, dried fruits, nuts, seeds. I might increase the honey next time for a sweeter bread. Can't wait to try this recipe when I finally get a Zojirushi bread machine. This was dang good in my Mr. Coffee breadmaker that I got for $3 at a garage sale.

Butter Chickpea Curry

Easy and versatile. My masala spice went missing and I was able to make up a batch out of other spices I had, I added a block of frozen spinach to the recipe, and used stewed tomatos and tomato paste, and a sprinkling of sugar since I wasn't using the soup which would have had sugar in it, and nearly tripled the whole thing for plenty of leftovers. I had brown rice for me and white rice for the family. Served it with grilled chicken legs. Maybe next time I'll throw some chicken right into the curry. You really could do anything with this.

Simple White Cake

this was easy and delicious. It's late, wanted some cake and was feeling very lazy so I did the whole thing in the food processor. i only had medium eggs and yeah, the batter was thick, so i threw in an extra egg. while it was baking i read reviews and saw that some people complained about a dry dense cake, so i did a glaze instead of a frosting, combined 1/4 c milk, 1/4 c butter, 1/4 c sugar and 1/2 c coconut in a pan, boiled till thicker, and poured it over the cake while it was still hot. I doubt if it NEEDED extra moisture, but it was a delicious addition! couldn't wait for the cake to cool so we ate it hot with iced tea ~ perfect! This IS a yummy easy cake!
