Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2015
First, you can't go wrong with cream cheese. Then you add chocolate!!! OMG!!! I made this to go with the Black Magic Cake from this site and it was amazing!!!!!! I did, however, leave out the cinnamon. I start with 2 cups of powdered sugar and then increase as I need; you can always add but you can't take out. This is my favorite chocolate frosting!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
This is a wonderful recipe! I followed the suggestion of others and brought everything to room temperature. I also did the water bath which makes a huge difference. Also, you have to be careful not to over mix the ingredients. I make an animal cracker crust for mine; it doesn't get soggy and provides something different. I have made this several times now and everyone loves it!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
This is sooooooooooooo yummy! I put my chicken in the crock pot uncooked and then shredded it later. I made the corn tortillas like it said and it was worth it. I added the soup in my bowl, the tortilla strips, cheese, avocado, and sour cream. I love this recipe and I can not wait to make it again.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
I just made these and they were good but if you didn't take a bite with the crumb top it was slightly sour. I did use buttermilk instead of milk and still had to add additional milk to make the batter not so thick. I made them in regular muffin tin and it made 10 muffins. I used brown sugar instead of white for the topping. These are good and I will probably make again with a few alterations.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
I'll admit that I was concerned about making this cake because I have a recipe off of this site that I always use that is made from scratch. BUT I made this and well, it was worth trying. I did follow other reviewers suggestions and cut the oil, added milk and used less chocolate chips than called for. I also left the cake in the pan for 1 1/2 hours as directed. This cake is dark, moist and oh so so good! People will NEVER know that it is an "altered" box mix. I made the chocolate glaze that others suggested and it just took it over the top. I tasted the cake after I took it out of the pan and I still wasn't convinced but after letting the cake sit overnight and tasting it the next day, all I can say is YUM! I will make this cake again and I will experiment with additional flavors.

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
I shouldn't have made these! Because I can't stop eating them. Even my friend called and said she was thinking about them the next day. I did do as some other reviewers did and put the pan in the freezer between steps. As soon as the shortbread was done I put it in the freezer while I made the caramel; it worked great. Then I put the pan back in the freezer while I melted the chocolate. I used semi-sweet chocolate and did add some vanilla and half-n-half. I put it in the fridge to set up. It was hard to get out of the pan so next time I will use foil or butter the pan to make it easier to remove. I left it out overnight and it is easier to cut today because it softened up. It taste just as good today as it did yesterday. I will be making these A LOT! Thank you, Julia, for an awesome receipe!

Banana Anna

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
I thought this was runny and not enough banana flavor. I added another banana and ice to thicken it up but it still wasn't what I was hoping for .

This is so amazing! I just made this for me and my daughter and we both love it. I did use vanilla yogurt instead of plain. I think I might freeze my strawberries next time, just to try. Thank you for a wonderful smoothie!

Tater Tot Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
This is so quick and easy. I did take the advice of others and did not add the ketchup. It really isn't necessary. I also add shredded cheddar cheese to the top. And put the tater tots all over. My family really loves it and it's just as good heated up the next day.

This was soooooooooooo good. It is the most moist cake I have ever made. I used special dark cocoa instead of regular. WOW! I frosted it with chocolate ganche on the top and sides and in the middle I added some cream cheese to the ganche and whipped it. Super chocolatey. Super wonderful! I will use this recipe for all of my chocolate cakes!

I really like sweet but this is by far too sweet. I think if I make this again I will add another package of cream cheese and cut the sugar in half.
