Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2013
So easy! I used Applesauce instead of Oil or Butter, and I omitted one of the egg yolks (gotta save calories somewhere). I used Pillsbury Funfetti Cake (sprinkles pre-mixed into the dry mix), and it worked PERFECTLY!!!! I baked at a high altitude, and therefore, 9 minutes and 15 seconds was the perfect time. Thank you! I will be making this again and again... SO many options!!!! Carrot cake and cream cheese frosting cookies?! Um... yes, please!

Toasty Egg Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
This is probably one of my earliest memory, comfort food sandwiches. At my house, we used Miracle Whip, but other than that, this is pretty much the ONLY way my mommy could get me to ingest American Cheese (though I still prefer a sharp cheddar). So good. From ages 2-102, you will LOVE IT! If you're 103, add ham :)

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2012
Wow! Very good and very versatile!! I took the advice of a reviewer and did it with oil instead of butter/shortening, and it was truly delicious. I topped with powdered sugar, and for some, I dropped in a Hershey's Kiss. Simply lovely.... but seriously, use oil.

Simply White Bread II

Very good! I added cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg (just a dash of each) for a sweet smelling bread. It turned out beautifully. I will make this again for sure.

Baked Kale Chips

I didn't use salt. I also used regular ol' cooking spray. Ho-ly goodness! These are so deliciously addictive; why do we even buy potato chips?!

Oven Pancakes

I love this recipe! It tastes like fluffy French Toast. All I add is nutmeg and vanilla, because that's the way my man enjoys it. He is sooo right! (Don't tell him I said that :)

Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
This was soooo good. I had to bake it an extra ten minutes, but that may have just been my finicky oven. The outer crust tastes like Nilla Wafers, and the bread is so lightly flavored. I can't wait to make this again.

Beer Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
Excellent. I only had a 1.5oz. box of vanilla pudding, but it still turned out beautifully! I topped it with caramel icecream topping, toffee, and a bit of homemade streusel. Delicious. I shall make this one again!

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
I love this recipe! I use it all the time. In fact, I just did, and as usual, it turned out perfectly. The key is to make sure that sugar doesn't burn! I usually finish mine off with a shake of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a little salt. It's great!

Ron's Bread Machine White

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
This bread was delicious and simple. True to it's description, it lasted for longer than I expected (not that it needed to). I did make it with Splenda, but other than that, it's a no changer. Thank you! I will do this again.

Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2012
I made this with splenda and used cooking spray instead of added oil, but didn't change anything else. It smelled so good while marinating and cooking and tasted even better. Thanks for this! I will DEFINITELY do this again.

By far, this is the most flavorful hummus I've ever made, and it's taking every bit of self-control not to eat the whole thing myself!

Biscotti

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2012
Just made this for the first time ever, biscotti, that is. It turned out GREAT! I scaled the recipe down with the calculator, and used almond extract instead of anise (for I hate the taste of anise, fennel, and licorice with a firey passion). It's a very versatile recipe (i.e. chopped nuts and dried fruits can be added if one chooses). Also, doing an egg or milk wash over the dough makes it prettier, but that step isn't totally necessary. All in all, I will probably use this as a base for all my future biscotti endeavors.
