Grandma's Green Bean Casserole
For our DAIRY FREE home, this was a great base recipe to work from! I took some advice from other reviewers, and some tricks that I've learned to alter this recipe to fit our lifestyle. First, I used FRESH, STEAMED Green beans.....so good! Then, I used 2 TBSP dairy free butter alternative and sauteed one small onion. I used 2 TBSP flour, 1 TSP white sugar, 1/2 TSP salt, 1/4 TSP black pepper, and 1 1/2 TSP garlic powder (although next time I will decrease the garlic by 1/2 tsp.). I then used about 3/4 cup rice milk and about 1 cup of dairy free sour cream alternative. It made a fabulous sauce! I couldn't stop tasting it =) I will probably use it over pasta at some point. Then, as other readers suggested, I mixed-in the french fried onions and topped with the onions as well. I did not use any cheese, but that's because the cheese alternatives would have altered the flavor. But from someone who used to put cheese in EVERYTHING, now that we aren't using it, I really don't miss it.

Iced Coffee
Thank you for this recipe! It is so good and meeting my coffee "needs" this summer. I moved to an area about two years ago that does not have a starbucks within 35 minutes and I have been planning my trips to the city to include a stop there! Plus, now that I'm pregnant, no one makes decaf iced coffee! Now I can make them at home and pretend it's the real thing! Thank you!!!
