Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2013
My first apple recipe I have ever made and it was well worth the wait! Awesome! I did only use 1/4 c. butter and 1/4 c. unsweet applesauce to cut some calories. Also, used 1/2 c. wheat flour and 1/2 c. white flour, and 1/3 c. white sugar. Perfection! Thanks for sharing this!

Big E's BBQ Rub

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
I LOVE THIS RUB! I have made it many times now. I do exactly as it says. I have been making triple batches of it and store it in a glass canister so I always have it on hand. I put it on all meats and seafood and I use the sugars no matter what I put it on. This rub makes everything taste exquisite! Thanks so much for this!!!

I love this fudge. Almost a soft, chewy texture which I love about fudge. I used reviewer suggestions with 1 cup peanut butter, 2 cups brown sugar and 3 cups of conf. sugar.

Read reviews and baked in 13x9 pan. These still were pretty thick brownies. I baked for 35 minutes and they were perfect! My new fave brownies!

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
So yummy! I freeze them and then heat up in the micro when I want a snack. I made them even healthier this way: Reduced the brown sugar to 1/2 cup. Used wheat flour instead of white. Used unsweetened applesauce instead of oil. Omitted raisins. Added 1/2 cup craisins, 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
Awesome and so flavorful! I did make some changes though b/c I don't like onion and to be healthier. Used 1/3 packet of ranch powder, 1 can reduce fat cream mushroom, dried rosemary, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup of water. Keep in mind, my roast was 2 1/2 lbs. I also added chopped baby carrots.

Cream of Cauliflower Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
This is divine! I doubled the recipe but omitted leeks, onion, tarragon, cream and cheese. I used 3 carrots, lemon zest, and only 3 TB. of light butter. I also used 1 cup skim milk and 1 cup fat free half and half. Only used 6 cups of chicken stock in total. I froze leftovers yesterday and am eating it again tonight b/c it was so good and really healthy!

Chocolate Truffle Cookies with Sea Salt

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
These are phenomenal! Very rich and perfect for a true chocolate connaisseur like myself. Gooey in the middle, just like a truffle. I used hershey special dark chocolate chips instead b/c that is what I had in the house. I melted them in the microwave w/butter. Chilled dough for 15 min. and cooled completely before removing from tray, just like it says. Can't wait to share these w/others!

This pie was really good and I am not a cherry pie fan. I used fresh cherries and added a little more sugar. Wasn't runny at all.

Not that good. I like sugar cookie recipes that use shortening instead. I was really disappointed w/these. Not easy to work with either.
