Roasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2014
If you can find a baguette of ciabatta bread, this is the most perfect bread for this recipe. It is a denser, chewier bread whose edges crisp up during broiling. That bread along with this recipe has now become my bread of choice - I've served it at several dinner parties and there is never a scrap left over. A bread lover's dream.

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
I did try this recipe and like every recipe, you have to make it once to learn what you did right or wrong. I made these a second time using graham crackers instead of saltines and make just a little more of the butter and brown sugar mixture and those two additions really made it into a five star recipe. I love the ease of this recipe - it is a brilliant concept and this recipe is a keeper.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2013
I have tried every chocolate chip cookie recipe known to man and this is definitely one of the best. Two little additions I have learned over the years is to add 1T of expresso powder to the dry ingredients. The subtle combination of chocolate and coffee enhances the flavor of the cookie. I also gently fold in 2C of rice crispies at the end that gives them this unexplainable crunch that I think is interesting. You would think that adding another dry ingredient would affect the outcome of the cookie, but it does not. With or without these two additions, these cookies will get you rave reviews.

Di's Delicious Deluxe Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
I love the basic recipe - you can't go wrong! But as much as I LOVE mayonnaise, I am always trying to find ways to get the same effect with a few less calories. I add equal parts mayonnaise and plain hummus and find that you really can't tell the difference and the hummus just adds a little body to the yolk filling. And as others have suggested, a squirt of dijon mustard adds that little kick that puts them over the top!
