Golden Sweet Cornbread

Cornbread heaven!!! This recipe is definitely 5-star in my book! I used buttermilk because I'm just partial to buttermilk in cornbread. I have tried various recipes in the past, but never found one that I liked as much as this one. as so many others have stated, it's a must to make this cornbread in a black cast iron skillet! Nothing else would do it justice! The only problem with this recipe is that you might eat all of it before you get to serve it to family or guests! Can't wait to make it again--and to even try a jalapeƱo version of it!

Creamy Banana Pudding

This is the best recipe--EVER!! I've been using this for more than 25 years! After discovering this recipe, I stopped making my Mom's cooked custard--which was super rich! I also use the banana cream flavor Jello pudding in mine too. And i always add more cookies than the recipe calls for, just because we like cookies. I've also made this for one friend who doesn't eat bananas, but loves the pudding with just the cookies. This recipe beats all the rest!!

Never Fail Applesauce Spice Cake

Nice recipe--very tasty. I would recommend that you note the cooking time since my 1st attempt was not quite as moist as I would have liked. I will check mine after about 40 min. (for my oven) the next time I make it. Didn't put the pecans in the frosting, and don't even think I'll add frosting the next time. It really didn't need it.

Reuben Sandwich II

This is a my favorite sandwich, and I really don't need a recipe to make one, but this one will suffice for the novice. You don't need 15 minutes to brown your bread though--you'll burn it up! And I also recommend warming the kraut first. As for one reviewer's suggestion to use mustard--that's a matter of personal taste, I guess. REAL Reuben sandwiches have to have thousand island dressing!
