Hi. I am an interior designer in Kwa-zulu Natal, and I love cooking. My favourite thing to make is a new recipe and I vary my cooking as much as possible. I have had few cooking disasters, thankfully! But I have much to learn :) always room for improvement..

Churros
Made as stated. It was my first try making churros. Turned out really nice, bit chewier than planned. I did see some recipes contain egg so i am determined to try to see if that turns out fluffier as the ones i tasted did. But as is these are lovely. They cook better if you use a medium size nozzle to pipe. Large nozzles give you fatter ones but sometimes dont cook through if your oil is too hot. Served with white chocolate sauce. Was divine!

Orange Date Muffins
This turned out very good using the adjustments other people made. No need for sour cream, yogurt works perfectly without the extra fat. I blitzed the orange, orange juice, dates and egg in processor. Sifted dry ingredients and then added the wet processed ingredients followed by the yogurt. I also added pecans (half a cup) and a tsp of mixed spice which i think made a nice addition. I zested my orange first and then removed the excess white pith all around before processing. But that's just me because I didnt see the need for the extra non-nutritious bulk the pith would add. Would definitely make again!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls
This was amazing. They looked great and tasted even better. I set the cut rolls in an oven tray lined with foil, sprayed with cooking spray. I had no problems with butter/sugar mix oozing out. I also had no problems removing the rolls from the foil after baking. The one thing I did differently was to use butter instead of margarine. That took it up a notch in flavour. I used raisins and it was just heavenly. Thanks for a great recipe!
