Torsk

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2012
The flavor was great, but I had 8 nice filets to use- and after they boiled for 2 minutes they fell into chunks and pieces- disappointing! next time i will just add a little bit of sugar to the butter and broil until done. You only need 1/2 cup of butter- that was more than enough for my 8 filets. The flavor paired with cod was really excellent that's why it was so disappointing that the fish fell apart.

Double Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2012
Amazing! Here's my changes: used Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder, added 3 T malted milk powder, and a sprinkle(less than 1/8 tsp) of cinnamon and nutmeg(seems small but the subtle hint of flavor is great) to the powder mixture. 3 2/3 cups 2% milk for all the 'milks'. ghiradelli 60% cacao chips and melted in with the vanilla. no cool whip. this is just chocolate deliciousness, will cure your craving- for sure! A keeper, thanks for the recipe!(:

Soldiers Kisses

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
This is a fantastic recipe! I added a few things... I have been defeated by meringue before, but this time I won the jackpot! I added in 1/8 tsp each of salt and cream of tartar to the eggs before beating. And a tsp of vanilla extract with the nuts. I substituted the nuts for 1/2 cup choc chips and 1 1/2 cups pecans because that's what I had on hand and what sounded good:) I used the whisk attachment on my hand-mixer and I think that works better than beaters. I used a glass bowl because I didn't have metal and let it chill in the freezer for about 10min( a tip I got from tv) and let my eggs warm up on the counter for about 40min. My cookies were done in 40mins perfectly! Thank you, will make again and again! Try it these are fantastic!

Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
This is absolutely fantastic! Not everyone likes boiled cabbage but if you like it with corned beef- try this you wont be disappointed! Try adding half kielbasa and half hot links- didn't even add sour cream and the cabbage kept it pretty mellow(I do like things on the spicy side though) Try this, it's great, I will definitely make again and again! :)

Baked Chicken Amandine

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This was just fantastic! I used cheddar instead of parmesan, and mixed one cream of mushroom with one cream of chicken( because I like mushrooms) i used frozen broccoli florets because i couldnt find chopped the ritz/butter and almonds add great crunch! I seasoned my chicken the way i like it( with chili, garlic, and onion powder, italian seasoning, worchestersire, black and white pepper) It was devoured, completely! Thanks for the fantastic recipe, I will definitely make it again!

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
These were sooo good! but i did make a few adjustments. i only had to bake mine for 9 mins so keep an eye on them. to the spices i added a little nutmeg, and a couple dashes of black pepper. my baking soda was a little old so i added 1/4 tsp extra. I did not make the confectioners sugar frosting. I made one by blending 8oz cream cheese, 2tbsp brown sugar, 2/3 cup confectioners sugar, and 2 tsp pure vanilla, then folding in 12oz of cool whip- fantastic combo of pumpkin with cream cheese. The cookies were light and fluffy with just the right amount of spice and not too sweet- will definitely make again. :)

Sweet Onion Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
This was good, but couldve been better. It just wasnt creamy enough. we had it with a cauliflower au gratin and mixed together were fabulous. If i do decide to make it again i will make a gravy with the half and half and swiss. Try it, but make a roux with the half&half and some chicken broth/stock and then mix in the swiss then add in the onions and rice-it will be fantastic:)

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
This was great but i had to alter it- so thats why 4 stars. I used shortening instead of butter, added some vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter. i mixed half the blueberries in with the mixer and folded the rest in (makes for a lovely purple color) I dont like blueberries (my mom loves them) but this was good-next time i will puree all of them then add to the batter(you wont get a big bite of blueberry but still good flavor) as for the topping: i use dark brown sugar instead of white(great flavor improvement) and add some oats, a few drops of vanilla, and some more cinnamon and nutmeg

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
This is a great recipe that takes alterations easily. I didnt have graham crackers so i used vanilla wafers (yummy!), real butter, creamy peanut butter, and reduced the sugar to 1 1/2 cups. i was worried about my chocolate not melting correctly but i tossed in a tbsp of butter and it was perfect:) will definitely make again:)

I made these and the recipe for the cookie-cakes was absolutely amazing. the only thing i did diffently was add a tsp of vinegar to milk because i didnt have sour milk. but i didnt like the filling-even after adding more vanilla and more sugar it was still missing something next time i make these i will look up a recipe for buttercream frosting i will definately make these again(with a different filling of course) =P

Cooky Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
i like this recipe its very flexible. i used 1/2 cup veg oil and 1/2 cup water like kelly suggested and they werent greasy. i used crisp rice cereal instead of cornflakes and substituted pecans for walnuts. also i toasted the pecans and coconut together for 4 minutes at 350F and put them in the food processor along with the crisp rice to get a uniform size for all of the add-ins. it was a very good recipe :] and if you dont want to change anything i would still recommend using half oil and half water
