Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2014
This was delish, however, I made a few changes. First, I doubled the sauce. I also doubled the honey and added 1/2 cup of splenda brown sugar, then I added a teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper for heat. After the sauce thickened, I added steamed broccoli, it was really good, family even asked me to make it again!

Apple Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
This was really good, I used a mini food processor to chop up the apples, I have a son with food consistency issues and he didn't even know they were there. I'm making this again today to take to neighbors since we have a bunch of apples leftover from the orchard.

Loved it, had it for our Valentine's party and everyone loved it and they were right, people asked for the recipe! I did add more hot sauce and also added 1 tsp of garlic powder and 2 tsps of sugar. YUMMO!

Chicken and Peas with Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
This was yummy! I have six year old twins and they both ate it, one of them asked for seconds, then thirds! I didn't have half and half, so I used 2% milk and it still turned out just fine. I'll make this one again!

Easiest BBQ Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2002
We didn't like this at all, I ended up rinsing the sauce off the chops with water, drenching them with barbeque sauce and baking them for 15 minutes.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2002
I thought this stew was good and my husband did too, but our kids, 10 & 13, thought it was too spicey. But they ate it! I baked a fresh loaf of bread and they scooped up the broth with their bread, then at the veggies and beef. Maybe cut down on some of the spices, otherwise, it was good.

Beef Potato House Pie Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2002
My family loved this, four picky boys and a husband, they at it all! I made it for 8 servings and it filled them up, but there were no leftovers, and my kids wanted to take some in a thermos for lunch the next day! I will probably double the recipe next time, at least double the potatoes or perhaps add frozen peas, corn, etc. Also, I had read previous reviews saying it didn't have much taste, so I added Shoups Country seasoning to the ground beef while it was browning.

Cream of Broccoli Soup IV

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2002
Very good tasting and easy soup to make. The only thing I would do differently is only puree half of the broccoli and then chop the other half, it seemed to have too much grit in it with all of broccoli pureed'.
