Basil Shrimp

Based on other reviews I only marianted for 20 minutes and cut back on the mustard. I think next time I will marinade longer and/or leave the full mustard in. Still very tasty though.

Lemon Horseradish New Potatoes

This was so incredibly good. I didn't have the full hour, so I parboiled first and then baked them for about a 1/2 hour. Everyone at the table raved and there wasn't a scrap left.

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

very good - I didn't have black beans so I subbed pinto, think it would be better with black. Made a lot - I halved the recipe and it still made about 8 servings.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Hot and Sour Chinese Eggplant

delicious, but as written there wasn't enough food - perhaps my eggplant was smaller than the author intended. Needed to double the sauce too. But the flavor was delicious. Will definatly make this again, just in larger quanities and may throw some other veggies in too.

incredibly good. I discovered much to my dismay that my creme had gone over so I had to use milk and it was still delicious, can only imagine how much better it would have been with creme.

Pasta Pomodoro

very tasty and simple. I can't wait until summer when I can try fresh tomatoes in this instead of canned, I think it would take it from a 4 to a 5. **Update. I tried it with fresh tomatoes out of my garden, and it did bump it up to a 5. Delicious!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

This is awesome. If I could give it more stars I would. I think this is the best shrimp marinade I've ever had. However, like some other people have posted, don't add the lemon juice until you're ready to put it on the grill, or your shrimp will be tough. I added a little lemon zest to the marinade, and then mixed in the juice to the reserve marinade for basting. So incredibly good! Everybody in the house raved about it, and we can't wait to try it on other types of seafood too.

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

very, very good. I subbed diced onion for the onion powder, added a tiny dash of basalmic and threw some parmesian cheese on top the last couple minutes on the grill. Husband said it was the first time he's ever liked grilled portobellos done outside a restaurant. He liked it so much he called his parents to tell them to try this recipe.

Goat Cheese and Arugula over Penne

Very tasty, though I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I sauteed the garlic in the olive oil with some red pepper flakes, then added fresh basil and oregano and the tomatoes. Then I added that to the pasta with the goat cheese and arugula and I also added chives. Used more arugula and tomatoes.

Flavorful Flounder

So incredibly good! I wasn't able to grill it, instead baked it in the oven and it was still fabulous, I can't wait to try it on the grill where I'm sure the slight smoke flavor will make it devine. A keeper!

Spiced Applesauce Bread

Pretty good, but for something called "spiced" it's not really. I even increased the spices somewhate, still didn't think it had much to it. But still tasty, and makes very nice french toast.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Quite tasty. I was all kinds of distacted when I was making this and was scared how it would turn out, but we really enjoyed it. I can only imagine that it will be even better when I make it again with full attention being paid!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Very good and versatile. I substituted veggie broth for the wine, as I didn't have any open. I think next time I'll either cut the salt down or omit it entirely as I felt the paste and canned tomatoes and broth had more than enough in them.
