Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
OH SO YUMMY .... I did not have any fresh basil and i put some dried basil in the mix about 5 minutes before done. I wanted the basil to soak up some of the chicken broth and it tastes just fine. I also added a little garlic powder (love garlic) and it seemed to give it a bit more of an italian flavor to it. Next time i think i will finely dice up some onion and garlic to add to it!

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
I made the change on my first version with chicken broth instead of beef. I am not a huge fan of beef broth. IT WAS AWESOME!! so if you are trying to decide if you want to use the chicken broth... GO FOR IT!!

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
THIS IS OFF THE HOOK AWESOME!! I will start by saying i tend to love italian food and i love my italian sausage, so i figured this just made sense. WOW was it awesome. I made 3 minor changes that i think were for the better. First i used chicken stock and not beef, second i completely forgot to pick up zucchini so that was missing ( wont make that mistake again) and third i used a can of local diced tomatoes. Buttered up some italian bread on the side to soak up the remaining juices and you wont want to stop eating!! SOOOOO GOOD!!!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
I love the sauce for this lasagna. I have used this base sauce now for all of my spaghetti and any other sauce based recipe. I also cook the sauce in a dutch oven. the lasagna is outstanding... I did feel like i was a little short on the cheeses .... the second time i made it i increase my cheeses by 50%. I Also use real mozerella (in the water) and added a touch of freshly grated asiago and parmigiana cheeses.
