One Dish Chicken and Rice Bake

Really simple and good. I had brown rice and cream of chicken soup in the house so I used those as substitutions, added a small can of sliced mushrooms; only other adjustment was I had to add 15 minutes to the cooking time since brown rice takes a bit longer to cook. This is a great base recipe and can be tweaked w/ any number of additions. It's a keeper.

Walnut-Coconut Coffee Cake

My new Holy Grail coffee cake, minutes to throw it together, not too sweet, super moist and stays moist until the very last piece is gone...perfect and didn't change a thing, thank you for a great recipe!

The Best Banana Bread

THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF BANANA BREAD...I took others' suggestions and used butter instead of margarine and used 1/2 cup white and 1/2 cup brown sugar; cooked in a silicone loaf pan exactly 1 hour, then when almost cool wrapped the loaf in plastic wrap to keep it moist...I've made this 3 times already and it comes out perfect every time! THANK YOU FOR A GREAT RECIPE!

Gramma's Old Fashioned Chili Mac

This is exactly what it says it is, just good old fashioned southern comfort food. I make this super easy, I cook up the macaroni in a tupperware bowl in the microwave as I brown the beef and veggies on the stove, then toss in the tomatoes, soup and beans, heat that through, add the macaroni in, heat everything through and done, one bowl and 1 pot to wash. Doesn't get easier than that.

Italian Sausage Soup

I used half mild and half hot Italian sausage and drained the fat after browning, otherwise I made no changes; I usually doctor up recipes, but this soup didn't need it, this soup is absolutely wonderful as written!

Slovak Stuffed Cabbage

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL; the only change I would make is to cook the bacon first; when cooked with the cabbage it got a bit mushy and didn't taste very good; when precooked the bacon added a nice smoky flavor; another option would be to slice some kielbasa and place that in the roaster while cooking instead of the bacon.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Fantastic base recipe; the recipe is great as is but can be adapted to all kinds of different chicken flavors, just keep the mayo and breadcrumbs and vary the seasonings; this base makes a great oven chicken Parmesan, dip the chicken in mayo, use Italian breadcrumbs mixed w/ a couple tablespoons of Parmesan cheese to coat chicken and bake as recommended; fabulous! With this you can really get creative. The mayo is the secret.

Didn't have to change a thing; family and friends raved about this recipe; served with appetizer of chips/salsa; spanish rice, refried beans and spanish flan for desert; this was a huge hit. Thank you for a great recipe.

Great eastern european sarma recipe!! Thank you. I changed it a bit by leaving out the ham and adding a kilbasa to the pot as it cooked. Came out wonderful.

Candied Yams

I agree, cinnamon really does give this one an extra punch. Had the same problem with marshmallows melting all the way through, will try the big marshmallows next time. One thing to suggest, use a foil pan to cook these in...the cooked marshmallows are really tough to get off your pans!! But for as easy as this one is I can't believe how many compliments I got on it!!!!
