Basic Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2001
These truffles were too bitter. Truffles using semi-sweet chocolate are better.

Christmas Turtle Candies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2001
These were too firm to chew without taking out fillings. The second batch I melted the caramels in the microwave with 4 Tablespoons of whole milk for every 50 caramels as recommended on the pkg. These were too runny and didn't set up. Next time I will make these with 2 T. milk. Still very tasty.

Buckeyes I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2001
This recipe uses too much powdered sugar. I used a better recipe last year which included crushed graham cracker crumbs.

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2002
These were very tasty! I made them in regular muffin tins. I left them in for 2 minutes after the tops started to split. 1/3 of the recipe I mixed in mini-choc chips, 1/3 topped with blueberries, and 1/3 topped with strawberries. The choc. chip and strawberries went over the best. I WILL USE THIS RECIPE AGAIN! YUMMY!

Tomato Enchilada Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2002
Very good! I will make this again. I doubled the sauce after reading suggestions, and also to make my sauce-loving father happy, he even thought it was a bit too much, 1+1/2 would be perfect. I also added 1 c. shredded cheddar to the filling mixture. Everyone loved it!

Cheddar and Onion Soup Chicken

Reviewed: May 25, 2005
This had such great flavor and smelled awesome while in the oven. I will definately make this again. I added the cheese during the last 10 minutes and cut the chicken into large stips. Definately must use the 9x13 pan. This was a fast and easy recipe.

Creamy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2002
I changed the recipe a little by using cream of chicken soup for more flavor, because I have tried other dishes like this that seemed to taste like paste. I also added a smidge more cheese to the mixture, it can't hurt, right? And I used 1 1/2 c. sour cream. It was deeee-lish!

Chocolate Covered Orange Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2001
These were okay. I coated half with semi-sweet chocolate and half with white chocolate. I didn't get the raves that others received.

I was expecting spicy from other reviewers, but it was not. I will add some HOT SAUCE next time. I will also use GREEN ONIONS next time. I will definately make this again. My husband ate half of the pan!

General Tsao's Chicken

Reviewed: May 26, 2005
AUTHENTIC! After pan frying the chicken, I put 1/2 in the freezer to use next time since there are only 2 of us. I made the full amount of sauce and it was enough to go over the rice I served with it. I used 3T. cornstarch for the sauce and it was the perfect consistency. No MSG needed & red pepper flakes instead of peppers.

Fettuccini with Mushroom, Ham and Rose Sauce

Reviewed: May 25, 2005
The flavor of ham was too overpowering for me. My husband liked it, but said it would be even better made with chicken. That still didn't stop him from getting 3 servings and covering them with parmesan.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: May 12, 2005
If I didn't know it was pasta I would think it was Uncle Ben's Chicken Flavored Rice, only with a more fresh flavor. Very good, I didn't change a thing accept I wish I would have had the fresh parmesan. Good side dish.

Chicken Jerusalem I

Reviewed: May 12, 2005
I followed other peoples recommendations and reduced the cream cheese, ranch and wine & added garlic. The sauce was excellent! HOWEVER, next time I will serve the sauce over pasta with breaded chicken and broccoli.

Very good. Added onions, will add mushrooms next time also. Made broth into a gravy at the end. Herb gravy was great over garlic mashed potatoes!

Alice Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2001
I use thicker style, boneless skinless chicken breasts which I sliced in half(length-wise). This reduced broiling time. The honey mustard dressing is a must have. I used Hellmann's Light, I find it to have the best flavor. Wonderful recipe!
