Potato and Cheddar Soup

Excellent, simple and fast soup. Full of flavour. The only change I did was use thin skin potatoes and the skins on.

Curried Corn

I did this recipe twice this week. Emjoy by all..Only thing I would suggest is check your curry. I have a medium level so I used less then what the recipe calls for.

Spinach and Beef Lasagna

The flavour on this dish is fantastic and flavour wise it should be 5 stars but there are some problems with the recipe itself. It calls for ½ lb. of ground beef I increased it to 1 lb. and still felt that it was skimpy. The recipe calls for ½ cup dry parsley this is way to much I used 1 tbsp. think next time will double this. I have never seen a 45 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce so I used a 28 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce and a 28 oz. jar to tomato sauce the extra worked great as I used 15 oz. of fresh spinach instead of frozen. Now for the instructions. There is no indication on what to do with the onions for I fried them up along with mushroom the beef and spices. Now for the layers as written there is no way that you can use ½ the amount of meat sauce in the layers and still have some for the top. The way it should read is as the following: small amount of sauce on the bottom of the pan, noodles, 1/3 of meat sauce, ½ of the cheese mixture, noodles, 1/3 of meat sauce, remaining cheese mixture, noodles and remaining of the meat mixture. Bake as pre the recipe instructions. I will be making this again.

Bread Pudding with Praline Sauce

I had been looking for a Banana Bread Pudding recipe and made a couple of alterations to this recipe. I reduced the vanilla extract to 2 tsps and added 2 tsps of banana extract. Instread of raisins I added to 2 cups of sliced banana which I had tossed with a little lemon juice. It worked out perfect.

Light Lemon Pesto Pasta

Just loved this recipe. I used Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and capellini as the pasta. After mixing the pesto with the pasta in the pasta pot I added additional grated Parmigiano and mozzarella. Then replaced the lid and allowed the cheese to soften. Will be making again. Thank you Baking Nana for this recipe.

Peanut Butter Cake I

I found this cake very dry but had a good flavour. If I make it again will add more milk to it. When I tried to poured the batter in the pan I had to scrape it out of the bowl just to get it into the pan.

Don's Jalfrezi Style Chicken Curry

Family just loved it. I did one small change instead of 1 lb of chicken I used 2 lbs did not have to double the rest of the ingridents it was perfect. Thanks Don will be doing this recipe again.

Huli Huli Chicken

Fantastic recipe. I sub turkey for the chicken and allowed to marinate for 12+ hours. I baked at 375 for 1 hour and turned part way through cooking. Full of flavour. Will do again.

Cilantro Chicken and Rice

This is a great dish. Now yes I did you a major tweek. I had leftover chicken and rice which I used and it worked great. The only liquid change I had done was reduce the broth to 1/4 to 1/2 cup. Everything else was as written. Great dish in so many ways.
