I was born in the city of Oshawa and lived there till I was 19. Both DH and I were married in 1977 and had two wonderful sons. LOL adults now and still living at home.
My favorite things to cook
Love cooking in general especially now with all the new products available.
My cooking tragedies
Oh I have had burnt offerings particularly the first time going from electric to gas that we had in the small campground we rented in the summer. But the funniest is the bird which would not cook. One thanksgiving I had to cook dinner. Well the bird just did not want to cook at all. Finally after being in the oven for over 7 hours it cooked. We still laugh about it to this day.

Vanilla Ice Cream V
I just attempted this recipe for a second time. The first time it was a bust the mixture would not come together at all. You really need to follow the instructions on your ice cream machine on both freezing bowl if need as well as chilling the mixture. Since my bowl only does 16 services cut the recipe in half. Using a KA Ice Cream Maker I put the bowl into my chest freezer then put the mixture from this recipe in the fridge. After 17 hours attempted to make the ice cream and it came together. I did give a taste and yes this recipe is good but reminds me more of Ice Milk Ice Cream. It is in the freezer now looking forward to trying after it fully freezes.

Citrus Carrot Salad
Yummy Salad. This is the second time I made this recipe. First was before she was approved. Made this salad minus the marshmallows early in the afternoon. Allowed to sit in the fridge. Will be making again.

Pierogie and Mushroom Casserole
Wow loved this recipe. I had half as I only had one can of soup. Used fat and salt reduced cream of mushroom soup. Will be making again. Thank you for such a wonderful recipe.
