Cookies for Rookies

Very simple and easy. Not quite sweet enough but ok. It may have been the fact I used natural PB. Good overall and does not require eggs (i was out). Will make again.

Fluffy Pancakes

Made these this morning and they turned out great. Doubled the recipe using two cups of buttermilk since I had some in the fridge and added a splash of vanilla. Yummy for the entire family.

These turned out wonderful for me and the children. It was my first attempt at cut-out decorated sugar cookies. I used templates of my children's hands to make turkey's :-). I made them directly per the recipe and the flavor was very nice.

Best Tuna Casserole

As written, this recipe is too dry and bland for my taste hence the 3 stars. On my second go around I sauted the onion in a TSP of oil with a clove of garlice before adding to the mixture. I also added a 1.5 cup of milk, a few dashes of fresh ground black pepper and used buttered wheat bread crumbs instead of chips on top. Much better results!

Angel's Chunky Chicken Salad

Most people could Not have rated this recipe based in its "as written" form. As written, this was not good IMO. Not enough mayo, too much celery and the dill pickles over powered everything else. Will not make again.

Magic Cookie Bars II

Delicious! Only 4 stars due to the crust. It was not substantial enough IMO. Next time I will add more crackers or oats for a thicker crust. Also, I used only 1 cup of semi-sweet chips and it turned out fine. Will make again soon.

Banana Banana Bread

4 stars rated for recipe as written since it did not include any spices. I add nutmeg, vanilla, & cinnamon and also raisans on top. I also use half oat flour and half splenda. Turned out great!

Smoked Salmon Scramble

I made this more like a frittata vs a scramble since I wanted to add some veggies (spinach & red onions). I also added some fresh dill and used a low carb tortilla vs the bread. Great breakfast.
