Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Awesome recipe! I love trying new flavors of pudding (coffee, chocolate, mint, pistachio, banana, pumpkin, etc.) and different flavored chips. Every time I make them everyone agrees these are the BEST cookies ever. They are thick, soft, good chocolate to cookie ratio, and stand very well.

Bourbon Chicken

Maybe it was the bourbon I used or maybe it was my expectations but this was awful! I don't like negative reviews without giving specifics but I'm trying to explain what I didn't like: First, the sauce burned in the oven in a glass 9x13 baking dish (if I would do over, I would put into aluminum foil packets). Second, the flavors didn't meld for me. I could taste bourbon, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. It tasted "shallow". It needs something to add to it's richness but I'm not quite sure what. After eating one bite, I'm permanently cured of my desire for bourbon chicken so I guess that's not a bad thing.

Master Pizza Dough

This was an easy recipe and on it's own it makes a great starter dough. It was very doughy but I think I will stretch it thinner and make several pizzas with the dough. I also would like to add garlic, parmesean, or other seasonings to the dough to make it more flavorful.

Crab Quiche

Really liked it. I used fresh shaved parmesean and cheddar vs. Monterrey. It's a keeper that will go to the front of the Jansen meal rotation!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Great recipe, very easy and it smelled the house up wonderfully. It also freezes well. I omitted the salt & used chopped onion vs. onion salt & still found it to be a little on the salty side. I am putting blame on the italian seasoning packet and next time I may try to make my own "season packet" instead of a store-bought one to cut down on the salt.

Baked Lemon Chicken with Mushroom Sauce

I followed directions and didn't tweak at all. It was ok but very bland. I think you could adjust the recipe to add a lemon pepper marinade and lots of garlic then grill instead of bake.

Grilled Salmon I

so yummy! the marinade will crystalize while cooking over coals in the foil pouches and is so so good! Made this at a friends house and the filets never made it to the table, we all just started eating them right in the kitchen!
