Hawaiian Wedding Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Absolutely great recipe! have tried it as it is, have baked it as cupcakes, have used it for birthday cakes with cream cheese filling and sour cream filling. BUT it's really too sweet for me and I do have a sweet tooth. I usually use 3/4 up to 1 cup of sugar and I prefer brown sugar. Also, I normally use a mixture of whole grain flour, rolled oats and oat bran. it's a hit every time.

Raspberry Chocolate Supremes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
Fabulous! and I gave them 5 stars even though I prefer lighter desserts. The first time, I didn't change a thing. The second time, I doubled it but found out I had run out of white chocolate. so, I just put about a total of 500g of cream cheese and only a cup of white chocolate for the double recipe and it turned out great. this has become one of my favourites

Fish Fillets Italiano

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
delicious and very easy to prepare. I wouldn't add more spices unless I want to mask the delicate taste of the cod - as we all like fish, this is not the case. and with saltwater fish we don't even add salt (you know, this is what the doctors always say - "less salt"). perfect recipe for delicate tasty types of fish. wouldn't change a thing

Sylvia's Easy Greek Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
I agree that oil is too much though this is quite common for the Greek cuisine. In any case, it needs to be olive oil if you are looking for some Greek twist to it. And there is no need to seed the cucumber - it;s never seeded in Greece (though I guess there might be some difference between the products available in different parts of the world - are cucumbers so ripe that you need to seed them?)

Zucchini e Pomodori Gratinati (Zucchini and Tomato Gratin)

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Delicious as it is. A possible twist could be to add some blue cheese - different flavour for a change.

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Absolutely delicious! Tried some more oat flakes and oat bran, as we like the taste, replaced oat with musli, also added some chocolate, tried them with different nuts, dried fruit, fruit from preserve and so on. Always great. So, feel free to experiment

Mediterranean Fish Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
everybody loved it - my little one wanted an additional serving. Though, I have to admit I did make some changes: didn't use a slowcooker and stewed it for 30-40 min (didn't keep time very carefully), used fresh mushrooms, added 1/2 cup tomato puree and fresh instead of dried basil. also, tried it with halibut, celery instead of fennel (as a sort of substitute as I didn't have any kind of fennel left), some fresh thyme, and basil was actually a spoonful of pesto genovese. And, for the second version didn't have shrimps. anyway, it turned out great both times. last thing we would say about it was bland.
