Banana Split Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
This is a great dessert! I made it exactly according to the recipe and it turned out wonderful. You could really use just about any fruit--cherries or any kind of berry would be awesome. I used the tip someone posted to dip the banana slices in the drained pineapple juice to keep them from turning brown, and it worked great. I would normally use lemon juice, but that flavor might be too noticeable in the dessert. Reusing the juice was a great idea. This will definitely become one of my go-to desserts for potlucks and family gatherings!

Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
my family enjoyed this soup. I used half cheddar cheese and half velveeta, so it would be creamier. My husband doesn't like a meal without meat, so with this I get my potato soup and he gets his meat too.

Shrimp Francesca

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
This recipe was very good! Well-seasoned and crispy. I wasn't sure if the shrimp would get cooked all the way, but they were perfect. I wasn't very fond of the artichoke hearts (a first for me). The only ones I saw at the store were 'marinated'. Do they come any other way? I tried to rinse them, but they were still pretty tangy, especially with the lemon juice. I served this with pasta, but I think next time I would try to make some sort of additional sauce to go with it. It was a little dry by itself. Overall, a very good dish.
