About this Cook
I've been cooking for as long as I can remember, maybe starting at ten or eleven. I'm from a Lebanese family. The culture is first about food and then hospitality with food. My stay-at-home mom started working when I was fourteen, leaving my sister and I in charge of food--buying it, storing it, cooking or baking it. We'd walk to the grocery with a pre-signed check and push a wire cart home. I'd like to say we took the cart all the way back to the store but....I was fourteen! Well, now at nearly 50, I think cooking is in my DNA and rarely does one day go by that I'm not standing in front of the fridge with the door open saying...hmmm, what's for dinner.
My favorite things to cook
I love making healthy and beautiful dishes, it doesn't matter if it's asian, mediterranean, italian, american. If it's healthy and presented beautifully, I'll enjoy making and eating it!

Asian Beef with Snow Peas
Blah, made this for dinner and I don't know what went wrong, but it was not that good. Dry & bland. I must have someone messed up the recipe b/c it got so many other good reviews.

Apple-Raspberry Crisp
OMG! I made this three times now and every time, not a drop left on the plate. I followed the recipe exactly. It was deliciouso!

Whipped Cream Frosting
This was great frosting. I made sure to freeze the bowl before I whipped the cream and it made a big difference in the consistency. It was fluffy and easy to spread.
