Grandma's Heavenly Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
I used 3/4 of a loaf of french bread. I sliced it in 1" thick slices. (I think this made for a better presentation) I also used cream of chicken soup. Guests raved how delicious it was!

Best Chicken Salad Ever I

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2002
This was awesome! I took someone's advice and added 1/3 cup mayo. I did not have canned chicken so I boiled a chicken breast in chicken buillon and it was great. I also used almond instead of pecans(that's what I had on hand) My husband loved it and my sister in-law wanted the recipe!

Stuffed Hot Peppers

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
This recipe is always a hit with my guests. I have tried this several times. I don't however know how they are in the oven but I ALWAYS grill mine. I also usually add about 1/3 cup blue cheese to half. (believe it or not it has an outstanding flavor-and it's always the first half to go!!!!)

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2004
What a HIT, both with me the chef(because it was so so simple to put together) and my guests just loved them! I cut the entire bag of bacon in thirds with a pair of scissors and took the advice of others to dredge the smokies and marinate them over night. Before baking I again sprinkled with brown sugar.(The best advice was to line the baking sheet what a nighmare that would have been had I not! I was scepticle because of there being only 3 ingredients, but they were gobbled up!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
Yum!!!! I didn't even think it was possible to make caramel corn, so when I saw the recipe I couldn't wait to make it! Party guests loved it! Took the advice from others and scaled down the butter to 1 stick and followed the microwave directions. What a breeze. One thing to be aware of... make sure you don't use a ceramic bowl to microwave in as it burned the heck out of my hands. The paper bag idea and lining the baking sheet was genius. No fuss no muss!

Brunch on the Bayou

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
I have made this on several occasions and I always get "Where did you get that recipe"! I do add more sausage and don't even bother measuring the sour cream. I just simple add enough to cover the top.

I served this as one of my side dishes for Christmas Dinner, a little hesitantly because of the odd ingredients, but am so glad I did. It was a huge hit with all of my guests and will definately make again!

Yum! I baked it at 275 and it did indeed take longer to bake maybe next time I'll bake it at 375, I just hope it turns out the same! I stuck it in the freezer after baking. My guests just loved it! Thanks for the recipe.

YUM! I did take the suggestions of adding a little more cayenne pepper and 16 oz of cream cheese! Loved it. I know I know what to do with all the squash in my garden!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2001
Awesome!!!! Everytime I make them people ask me for the recipe! These are great cookies to decorate with a hard icing and give them away as gifts (kids cookie pops, wreaths, cookie ornaments etc.)
