Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
My boyfriend's 9 year old and I made these yesterday and while I am not a cheesecake fan, they both LOVED them. Fairly easy to make in comparison a regular cheesecake, attractive and according to them ....REALLY DELICIOUS!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
PERFECT. I did add a few dashes of nutmeg and all spice but even without this I think it is just fabulous! Great carrot cake recipe. It's my go to recipe from now on!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
I give this 5 stars with one change. I only use 1 package of cream cheese as 2 is just too much. Other than that, its perfect and so wonderful on carrot cake. I have also made a strawberry version of this for a strawberry cake and while it was a bit thinner, it was marvelous! Sooooo yummy!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
Love this. This is such a quick and simple twist on traditional broiled fish! I subsitute garlic salt for celery salt and it complements the parmesan nicely. Love it!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
Excellent. I'd never had nor made cottage pie (this is technically Cottage Pie, versus Sheperd's Pie as Shepherd's has lamb versus beef). It was great! The only changes I made to the orginal recipe was that I followed the advice of others and used 1/4 c Worcestire Sauce, and 3/4 c water and brown gravy mix to the meat. I also added some minced garlic to the onions when cooking them. For the potatoes, I added additional butter, minced garlic and whipping cream to taste and mashed them in the mixer to created a nice creamy whipped mashed potato. I did have to cook the carrots a lot longer than 15 minutes in order to mash them. I added frozen peas in a layer on top of the carrots before adding the potatoes. It was awesome. The whole family loved it! Thank you!
