Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
Everytime I make these my husband goes crazy. It's such a good recipe. We usually buy smaller tortilla's and just make more of them. I shred my chicken in my stand mixer, takes about 30 seconds. I've made this for guests as well and everyone really enjoys it.

Pasta Salad with Homemade Dressing

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
Simple, easy recipe. I added more seasoning to the dressing and a tad more salt as it seemed blah, but overall a very tasy recipe!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
I liked it. Kid liked it. Husband wasn't crazy about the green pepper flavor. I might omit that next time otherwise will make again! Crowned hamburger and onion then put in crockpot with other ingredients. Cooked on high for an hour or so until dinner.

Willie Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
I made this cake for a friend who has celiac's disease and it was a huge hit. The chocolate ganache was very good, but if I make again I will put it in the refrigerator to set. (I'm new to this so maybe that seems obvious but...) I would have also used less bitter chocolate for the topping. Otherwise a fabulous melt in your mouth cake.

Caramels

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2004
Buttery, soft caramels. Everyone who has tasted them has went crazy for them. I will make this again. Be careful not to burn them and with most candies, it takes quite some time for the candy thermometer to reach 250 degrees, so be patient and stir!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2004
Delicious...I added more garlic and didn't have any grated parmesean but used shredded and worked well. I would also add a bit of salt and pepper but otherwise a great recipe.

Campfire Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2004
My husband loves these green beans. And despite the recommendation to not use frozen green beans. I did! And it worked great. I would try it with fresh as well. I also add a bit more garlic as we love garlic. We don't camp much, but did make it for dinner as a side dish twice now, and it was enjoyed by all.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2004
You do get big, fat, chewy cookies from this recipe. That's no lie! I brought in a batch of these into the office and they were gone in no time. One co-worker offered to pay me to make more, he said they were "all the rage" in the office. I guess I'll be making them again!!!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2004
I substituted ground turkey and used a can of seasoned black beans instead of kidney beans, and used Rotel and homemade canned tomatoes in place of other canned tomatoes. Also used jalepeno peppers for a little extra spice instead of chili peppers. It was very tasty and recieved a nice response from my guests. I froze the extras, will be great on a cold fall night!!! I will make this again. Thanks Janeen!

I used this marinade on Ahi Tuna steaks and they were just fabulous. I added a bit more garlic and a few shakes of salt. Also, be sure to not overcook! Very tasty!!!

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2004
This was a huge hit at my last summer party. I made two pitchers and it disappeared in no time. I did refrigerate it overnight as others have suggested which helped make the flavors mix. Will be making again soon. Great recipe.

Banana Bread - Quick Bread for Machines

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2004
I have made this bread several times when I have extra "brown" bananas around. It has OK flavor, I add vanilla to my recipe and usually add more bananas too. Easy to put together and hard to mess up.

Hard Rock Candy

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2004
This was very easy to make and everyone certainly enjoyed it. The suggestion to clean the pan immediately after cooking was a good one! I used flavoring oils that I got at Michael's. I make cinnamon and peppermint. I didn't add as much flavoring as it called for, but I wish that I had. It smells strong, but it didn't taste as flavorful as I thought. I will make again!

Brandied Orange and Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2003
I love cranberries so I thought I would give this a try for Thanksgiving. I added half of the orange zest suggested and it was just enough orange flavor. Also, as most people have said, you will probably need to cook it a little longer. A huge hit with my husband's grandfather, I thought he was going to eat the whole bowl! I will definitely make this again!!!!!!

I thought these were delicious and wonderfully easy muffins! A huge hit at Easter brunch. I topped with Sugar in the Raw to get the coated topping. Also substituted frozen for fresh bluberries due to availability. Will make again!
