Sea Bass Cuban Style

This was much better than I thought it would be. Lots of flavor. The one change was I used chicken broth instead of white wine.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Wow. I'm so happy I found this. It was so good I made it 2 days in a row. I don't drink whole milk so I used 1.5 cups of 1% and 1.5 cups of half and half. I also followed the other reviewers and used 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice. I only have flavored coffee in the house so I used apple pie coffee and made my usual amount for hubby and myself. The wand hand mixer worked well and saves cleaning the blender. Thanks for posting!

Caramel Macchiato Cheesecake

I made this twice in 2 weeks. First time I followed the recipe exactly and I used instant espresso. It was so smooth and silky, my co-workers said it was the best cake I ever made. The next time I made the instant espresso stronger and I didn't use a water bath. I don't know if it was the quality of the coffee but I didn't like the stronger taste (and I LOVE coffee). Also the crust tasted burnt without the water bath. My guests & husband loved it though. I will stick with the original recipe for a 5 star cake.

No Tomato Chili

This was great! I forgot to buy chili sauce so I used Hot Mexican Chili Powder and some crushed red pepper flakes. It was just the right amount of heat for me and no yucky tomatoes!

Grandma's Raspberry Bars

These were simple to make. I used additional raspberry jam because it didn't seem like much when I spread it but then all the flavor was from the jam. They were good though.

Marinated Flank Steak

Wow. I never expected it to be so flavorful. I recommend cooking to medium rare. My husband cooked his half well and mine med-rare. We both liked mine 1000% more. The only change I made was using Hebrew National mustard instead of dijon.

Carrie's Garlic Pesto Tuna Salad Sandwiches

I really enjoyed this. I'm always trying to add things to tuna w/mayo for flavor and to reduce the amount of mayo but am rarely successful. This was so flavorful and I will make it again tonight.

Butterscotch Cake I

This was easy to make and came out very moist. It had a hint of butterscotch flavor. I used the individual (4oz) cups and could have added another one to add more flavor. The topping didn't caramelize for me but it was crunchy and tasty.

Cajun Compromise Catfish

This was an easy to make and flavorful dish. I served it as a sandwich with tartar sauce and cajun mayo. I added more than a dash of hot sauce to the batter and it was just the right amount of spice for me.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

This was my first attempt at 'real' risotto. I've tried the quickie versions from food network and the rice never cooked through. This was excellent! It was well worth the time of making it. I omitted the white wine but that was the only change. I could have easily cut back on mushrooms but I like them and thought the proportions were good. Will definitely make again..in cooler weather though!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

This was my first time ever making mashed potatoes. The potatoes only took 20 minutes to soften (4 servings). I think I put too much cheese by accident because that was the flavor I tasted the most. But overall it was excellent. I may try less cheese and/or more garlic next time.

This was a great marinade. I omitted the salt. My mother claimed it was spicy but my husband and I didn't get even a hint of spice. Definitely let it sit 24 hours.

Summer Feta Burger with Gourmet Cheese Spread

I had my doubts when I saw cream cheese as an ingredient but these were great! The pork really brought a lot of flavor and the cream cheese spread was a nice addition. I did omit the red wine but that was the only change.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

I wish I tried the original recipe first but instead I did 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar and vanilla extract. I found the cookies too sweet and not very peanut buttery. I'm giving 4 stars b/c I think the original recipe would have satisfied me.
